Boycott the Forest Match and go to the youth cup QF instead!!

Thanks to Walthamstow for this idea.

My daughter and I are season ticket holders and are planning to make our own protest about the woeful state of things down at BDTBL at the moment. From the players, to the Chairman, at every level, things are rotten and wrong. I suspect that waving my shoes around in the air or chanting for the board to be sacked will make little difference, but not turning up for the match, in huge numbers, might make Mr McCabe and the rest take note of our feelings.

The Youth team (those lads that presumably want to play for their team and for their shirt) are at Leicester in the Youth Cup Q Final on the 9th of March. My daughter and I will not be going to the Forest match but will instead go to the Walkers stadium the following night and support our club just as vocally.

The Blades have around 15000 ST holders. It send a powerful message to many people in the game if we all did the same. It would make for a cracking atmosphere (at the Walkers!!) as well.

my worry is as they are doing so well all the top teams will pick them up cheap in the sale at the end of the season when we go down as McCabe will need the moeny to fund the academy and we wont see them in the 1st team but poping up at other clubs.

I think its great that you stay away, why not go one further and dont go for the rest of the season?

You mentioned it in a thread about boycotting a match, therefore it did come across as mocking the people who still choose to support the team and attend, rather than just whoever these "90minute singers" are you mention.

I just don't get what you are hoping to achieve by not going? Are you hoping that by not being there that the board will suddenly twig on to our predicament?

Do you really think McCabe and the board aren't concerned by what's going on? If they're only in it for the money then they will have realised long ago that they're losing it all. They want success just as much as us, but perhaps for different reasons. Unless this is some kind of evil plan and they've bet on us going down then I think they are probably as worried as we are right now.

Realistically what can the board do right now? It's all down to Adams, the players and us the fans. Like it or not we're stuck with what we've got until the end of the season at least. Stop sulking and think about what YOU can do to help us win.

What, and having 20000+ in the ground makes the team play better!!! It might be worth a try to see how they play in front of only 10000. If they don't boo then even better.

If you have season tickets or tickets for the game, your ticket will still be counted towards the attendance anyway.

We were one of the last in the country to bring this in, but we've had it confirmed that any tickets sold are counted... regardless of whether you enter the ground or not.

I've no problem people staying away if they choose to. I just don't expect people to pour scorn on others because they choose not to.

This lot could play in front of a packed Old Trafford and make Farnborough Town look like Barcelona. Its not the fans, its not the attendances, its having a bunch of crap players who couldnt give a shit thats taking us down to division three.
