Add Norwood despite the assist, which was a great ball. Had to be booked again as he simply can't get back anymore. That sight of a player chasing a league one player that he can't catch looked very Dean Hammond like to me. We seem to have gone physically backwords

Remember when we were in league 1?
We'd always fancy our chances against prem opposition, and to be fair we are only Prem in name at this time with absolutely no confidence.
Even Nigel Clough"s SUFC had a great run against higher division teams.
To say what a crap season we're having that was a competent professional performance for 70 minutes. Without a complete clusterfuck of a fuck up by VAR, we should have a pen and have been at 3 0.
As it was it was only 2 0 with 15 to go and a comedy of errors makes it 2 1 and not surprisingly our players are as nervous as!
Just be grateful we hung on and saw it out.
I would have to agree on Ramsdale. We're doing him no favours keeping picking him. He needs taking out of the spotlight for a while. Its time for the backup keepers to earn their corn.

CW has made mistakes, the club IMHO would make a far biger mistake by changing the manager.

Only have to look at results in the cup this year to see it's not easy to do that. For 70 minutes that was about as comfortable performance as you'll see at this stage. Granted the 20 minutes towards the end weren't great but it was hardly backs to the wall stuff.

We absolutely controlled the game. Then comes Individual errors again, and all the confidence on the ball gets sucked out of us.

This is pretty much it in a nutshell. Broadly a positive day at the office.

I thought we played some really decent stuff for first 70 mins and could have been justly 4 or 5 up by 70 mins. Penalty, Lundstram, Brewster x2 and maybe a couple of others. A mixture of bad luck and poor finishing.

The concern is the last 20, Lundstram and Basham switch off and drop a bollock and Ramsdale let's in another very soft goal. Confidence plummets and we panicked for the last 20 mins.

Individual errors at the back and poor finishing has been the story of our season and in part the reason we are going down. Against better teams we have to take a much higher proportion of chances and half chances we create. We also need to cut out the schoolboy mistakes. I can only put this down to confidence.

Ramsdale is my only gripe from the day, I've been defending him for a while but only makes standard saves, anything which would be seen as a good save seems to end up in the back of the net.

Either his confidence has literally hit rock bottom and is hugely impacting his ability to keep, or he's just not very good at all. I'm still leaning towards the fact theres must be a decent keeper in there. Whether its for his own good to take him out of the limelight, or to give him a kick up the arse the lad needs dropping.

Still 3 wins in 4 games, regardless of the opposition may as well enjoy them as they will likely be few and far between in the next few months....

Norwood had let their goalscorer amble past him as well as picking up his customary yellow for fouling a man who's turned him. His passing was excellent - he's probably the only player in the squad able to thread the ball through to Sharp - but defensively he's a liability.

my hope is it’s mainly down to confidence. Get a few points on the board or wins and maybe we stop shitting the bed every game.

with a bit of confidence maybe the strikers bury a couple of chances and we go 3 or 4 nil up. Maybe then ramsdale doesn’t shit himself feeling like we just can’t score so he has to keep everything out or it’s game over.

I think the tactics box to box work, we just arn’t doing the basics we did for the last 4 seasons anymore.
