Where does this figure of 130m come from?

To my mind we have spent considerably less than that total in transfer fees (fees reported at the time as well) for the entire squad. Obviously what we have spent on wages over the last few years in another thing completely but we are I believe placed 20th in the PL table for wages paid out and some way behind the likes of Brighton and Burnley.

But back to transfer fees paid out. I get it at about £115m for the entire squad. It's a sizeable amount and more than we have ever spent before on the playing squad but not a great deal in this day and age and especially not in comparison to where we are competing.

Transfer fees spent on our front players are around just over £50m. Again its not insignificant, but when you compare that Man City regularly spend that on a single player.... Totals below:

Ramsdale £18.5m
Verrips FREE
Foderingham. FREE
Moore £0.5m
Eastwood FREE
Egan £4m
Ampadu LOAN
O'Connell £0.5m
Basham FREE

Bogle/Lowe £8m
Robinson 0.5m
Baldock £0.5m
Berge £23m
Rodwell FREE
Fleck FREE
Lundstram £0.75m

Sharp £0.5m
When you consider man city made 10 changes v Cheltenham and could still field Mahrez and Jesus which civers the cost of our squad and the entire squads wages

The OP should have waited a while before posting. The last 20 minutes after we gifted them a diabolically bad goal were horrible, leading to equally diabolically bad language in these parts and blood pressure sky high.

That desperately shaky finish almost made me forget about the fact that prior to their goal it had been a really encouraging performance.

And we saw after Norwood's substitution why, in Berge's absence, he's still our first choice for centre midfield.

BBC said on MOTD today the 3 subs man city brought on at Cheltenham cost 136m quid.
They looked far more vulnerable than we had looked
Had once again VAR not robbed us of a cert penalty the handball MOTD said was 100 per cent a pen we would have romped home

I thought we actually played pretty well for the most part yesterday. There was plenty of one touch passing, we created more chances than we have for a while and it was enjoyable seeing us play some decent football. For the vast majority of the game it felt a lot like one of those routine home wins in the L1 promotion season where we were just a little bit too good for the other team.

On the flip side we still have issues with giving the ball away cheaply and reguarly in dangerous areas. They scored when Lundstram did it and a better team would have punished us when Stevens gave the ball away in our half twice in 10 seconds in the second half.

I’ve usually defended Ramdale’s shot stopping on the grounds that if a team has enough shots (and most teams have this season) one will eventually beat him but today his attempt to save that was poor. A Premier League number one should have good enough concentration to be on his toes at all times so to shepherd in the only real save he had to make all game was disappointing.

There’s gunna be some era shit thrown in here and am starting with Adkins and the wank he served up.
Ok I will play, I will raise you David Weir - remeber going to the first friendly in charge against some Greek side? First 20 mins was 1 touch football prime Barca build up for the early goal. We thought this is going to be great ! Then it went all downhill from there 😂 it was awful.

In moments of despaired I tend to kid myself that this season is all part of a cunning plan to become a top Premiership club by instalments,
We will become a yoyo team and keep using the fall back cash to gradually build a SUPER TEAM....
Yes I know it may take 20 to 30 years, but it's the only way I can fathom what's happened this season and still have something to look forward too ..... 🥴
