The finest post on any football forum EVER.I love watching the academy sides on a weekend, I don't watch any specific side just have a walk about and so watch many players over the years and if someone catches my eye I like to watch their progress over the years. We have many youngsters that I can see making a breakthrough over the next 5 years or so.
But the next superstar from the Shirecliffe conveyor belt is Antwoine Hackford, a 14 year old striker. Plays for the U15s what a player this boy is and I am going to go on record and say this lad will make his first team appearance aged 16, become our youngest ever player and our youngest ever goal scorer. That is some statement but he is some player.
Any other avid academy watchers have their tips for future stars?
Great prediction from 2 years ago mate, apart from he won’t score cos that’s not what we do.I love watching the academy sides on a weekend, I don't watch any specific side just have a walk about and so watch many players over the years and if someone catches my eye I like to watch their progress over the years. When your 16 year old striker looks just as good as ur 23 million pound signing
I think you misunderstand the issue when the 16 Yr old is doing just as well as mousset and brewster tbh shows we have some serious issuesSure I was reading earlier his current worth is £100k. He could be the answer to our prayers a bargain basement youth striker saves our season. I can see the book of the movie of the theatre play now. £££££

I think you worded it in a way that made it read condescendingly like I'd made out he would save our season and was dumb for saying so.I think you didnt understand the sarcasm in my post although I was telegraphing it.![]()
And he’s not United’s youngest ever playerGreat prediction from 2 years ago mate, apart from he won’t score cos that’s not what we do.

I know it such a cliched call, but I would use the remainder of this season to bring more lads like Antwoine into the side. ....They certainly can’t do any worse.
Brunt would’ve been my picked out of all of them based on what he’s doing for the u23s. There won’t be any more like Hackford to be playing u23s football at 16 is astounding to make you’re senior debut is incredible and to do that in the prem is almost impossible so hats off to the lad. But we don’t have a group of Hackford’s but there are some players who might make it as pros.Tend to agree. Not sure how many are genuinely close though?
