I dont expect him to do an outfield players job but I would like him to be half competent at his own job. As far as England goes, it's a very small pond they are fishing in for goalkeepers at under 23 level, so that means nothing to me.Yes i agree, his command in the midfield, running off the ball and his attacking is terrible. Pity England staff, blades staff seem to rate him, cus on here the real people who know about him and his ability know he is shite!!
I don't think you could blame him for the first. The ball was fired into the turf and then bounced over Basham's head.He has to move his feet more, that’s the thing that is standing out the most for me at the moment. With the first goal I’m absolutely convinced he’d have got to it with a stronger trigger movement. The second he needs to bulldoze the lot out the way but Lowe also needs to do much better in shielding Chilwell out the way. The third, not really his fault but I question his decision making a bit there trying to punch the ball while going through McBurnie. Last goal, no chance.
I’m not blaming him for the first per se but I do think his footwork is his biggest technical issue at the moment and I stand by what I say in that I think he could have got there with better foot movement on his trigger.I don't think you could blame him for the first. Fair enough, but I still feel that Ramsdale is the least of our problems. The number of crosses going across our box with no-one getting a head on them is shocking. Personally I would play the three best defenders at cb, irrespective of their attacking intent. LCB is becoming a liability whoever plays there.I’m not blaming him for the first per se but I do think his footwork is his biggest technical issue at the moment and I stand by what I say in that I think he could have got there with better foot movement on his trigger.
Possibly if the outfield players performed as they did last year he would have the same cover as the great Hendo had! if the midfield held onto the ball instead of giving it away then the defence would have the same cover as last season, or is that TOO difficult for you to grasp.I dont expect him to do an outfield players job but I would like him to be half competent at his own job. I dont think Ramsdale is very good at the goalkeeping basics and will cost us more points than he will gain us, you may not agree but the outfield argument is confusing and makes no sense.
I didnt mention Henderson at all, I'm judging Ramsdale on his performance. Which in the main was poor and of a low standard compared to 95% of the keepers in the premiership. You getting wound up at me and questioning my understanding because your argument is poor doesnt seem fair either?Possibly if the outfield players performed as they did last year he would have the same cover as the great Hendo had! if the midfield held onto the ball instead of giving it away then the defence would have the same cover as last season, or is that TOO difficult for you to grasp.
If we attack down the wings and make first time crosses instead ofstopping and passing backward we may make chances to score, and give our forwards a chance to score.
THEN AS THE GREAT HENDO DID RAMSDALE COULD LEAN ON THE POST FOR MOST OF THE GAME.That was the point i was making
He didnt want to come backHendo not getting a game big mistake not getting him back
Stupid commentHe is totally wank. Should never play professionally again
You're totally right, he made a save when it was 0-0 so we can just ignore the fact he's been poor all season.Anybody forgetting the save he made at 0-0
It's not the keeper.... Its the quality, and they don't have 30,000 cunts on thier back making them nervous...thats a factor.. Accept it..
Ramsdale isn't the problem.. The world's best footballers that are under fuck all pressure are the problem..
What about the first? Maybe if he didn't dive like his feet are tied together he'd have saved it. Not the first time this season he's let in soft goals he would have saved if he moved his feet before diving.
Not seen the replays properly, but it was shinned into the ground... I thought if he'd got a true connection he'd have been a lot closer to it.
George Long? Just teasing. Plus maybe one of the others already on our pay roll?I'm no Ramsdale hater but was there nobody at the 72 clubs in the football leagues below of a similar standard that we couldn't have pickes up for less than £18m and in lower wages? There must be some good/great keepers at that level surely?
Classic Shammy Abraham finish, absolute duffer. Does my head in that he seems to love scoring against us!Scuffs it, no chance.
Lol. Maybe. Verrips not had a fair crack has he?George Long? Just teasing. Plus maybe one of the others already on our pay roll?
As an ex-goalkeeper (an old traditional one I admit), there is an aspect of today’s goalkeeping that is a serious issue in how goalkeepers now perform.
i have observed two dynamics that would never be tolerated in previous coaching curriculums:
a) goalkeepers today do not command the 18 yard box but more specifically the 6 yard box and.
b) there are way too many shots that beat goalkeepers either at the near post or across the body.
As good we we thought Henderson was, he showed these traits.
In my view, Ramsdale is not a premier league goalkeeper because of the lack of skills, decision making, control, and fundamental goalkeeping skills in the crucial area of goalkeeping.
In today’s game, it’s more important for goalkeepers to have foot skills to react to the awful growing trend of passing back to the keeper even from the attacking half of the field.
This is one of the key reasons we will continue to ship in goals...
United pass back to Ramsdale far too many times and it’s slows up the forward momentum... this is a key part of our game we hav to change to survive this season.. plus Ramsdale had to command his 18 yard box...

Confidence breeds confidence and all that. He’s looked good considering the shambles infront of him as far as I’m concerned.
Fuck me , hallelujah! Somebody on here gets it !He didnt want to come back
Exactly ! Did people actually clock Stevens and lowes performances ? Henderson, shilton and lev yashin in goal together wouldn't keep a clean sheet for us at the moment .He’s looked good considering the shambles infront of him as far as I’m concerned.
