I live just in Barnsley was allowed in one of me locals for 2 hours this aft to watch blades. Had to order food I know we’re in a lockdown but got the 5 minute warning today my time was approaching. . Mad insane 2 hours in pub I fully respect the current situation but any responses. Cheers.

It’s a complete nonsense.

lockdown works in reducing numbers. But it’s not the answer. So let’s get back to normality (globally) and protect the vulnerable
Good plan! How do we do that though?

I no mate couldn’t believe it just booked a table for soul reason of watching the blades over a pint or 8 and got told on entry your allowed 2 hours. I know we’re in this lockdown and am fully aware of the covid situation but can’t stay past your 2 hours was total new news anyway onwards and upwards. UTB FTP

World should lock down. Why can’t world leaders get their heads together and sort it.

Boris should have stooped planes flying into the country weeks before. We live on an island it should have been easy to avoid.

Surprised by this. It's my understanding that any pub whose takings are less than 60% based on food sales are required to close? Basically it's either got to be a gastro pub or a restaurant?

Exactly mate spent £40 on food n drink n couldn’t even have a pint outside after the match coz my time was up. They could of brought drinks to me outside and I’d not of had any physical contact with there premises even had a pair of gloves to collect empties knowing I’d of spent 100 easy today. As I said full knowledge and respect to/for current situation but fuck me.........

I wish they’d just admit that there’s no chance of going back to ‘normal’ until there’s a vaccine. It’s obvious what they’re doing.

If they were just up front about it and said ‘look we’re going have to keep relaxing and restricting in cycles’ I think people would go for that instead of them fucking us about all the time. It also gives people a chance to plan meeting loved ones/mates etc in the periods where restrictions are more relaxed.

It also doesn’t help that the rules are contradictory as fuck. Safer to watch a game in the cinema than at the ground? Do me a favour.

Again mate agree 10000%. If shopping centres have remained opened despite covid related restrictions coinciding with government guidelines then football on reduced capacity could start.. we all say same thing. I’m gonna say it. Government are CXXXTS. Fuck em

No restrictions on how long I could stay in the pub but this was my restricted view! Landlord said we couldn't move the screen cos 'it's there to stop covid.' Sound science.20201031_123915.jpg

Identify the vulnerable and lock them down with the care they need

Get testing set up at all entry and exit points in Europe. Put more money into grants for people to work from home if they need to

Get pubs and restaurants open, football fans back, get rid of masks, get people back working.

Lockdown is perpetuating the cycle. Hide indoors ..COVID goes down. Let people out COVID goes up.....repeat.
And in the meantime, the more you isolate people from mixing, the more their immunity to all viruses and bacteria will be affected. So each time you lockdown, you increase the chances of people getting sick.

My sister and Brother in law were asked to do the antibodies test as they had it back in April.... turns out brother in law had Covid and my sister didn’t.

How is that possible? There seems to be a recipe for this virus to infect and we don't know all the ingredients.

Don’t know, they were both under the weather and brother in law called nhs number as they suspected Covid symptoms. Sister had same symptoms a few days later and turns out she didn’t have it...

The more and more people that I know have been tested positive for it, the more I realise we should just crack on with life now
