You are absolutely correct but of course you have the option to pay or not. What pisses me off about this is that so many are being asked to pay three time, Season ticket, Sky and then PPV so your analogy is good but maybe you can see why the OP of £15 being obscene is so spot on.

I don't watch much telly these days but have done as you suggest in the past. My point was though that even with subscription you still get ads and they are extremely frequent. I don't want to pay to watch adverts.

Against Fulham, BT didn’t show any. Not one. In fact the coverage was probably the best we’ve had all season in terms of the length of programme we got and the level of punditry.

Sky on the other hand, no pundits, no presenter. The commentators showing 30 seconds of highlights as a distraction from the ads. That was a complete joke to say they are charging the same as BT.

Advertising revenue is probably factored into the cost of the subscription, so if they stopped showing adverts, then the subscription fees would probably increase.

Agree BT was far better and easier to log in than Sky Sports. BT was clear without interruptions and I cannot say the same for Sky Sports
