I wonder if we've had to pay McCabe's hotel for the privilege......

Perfectly apt moving of location. Very eloquent expression of what McCabe has done to United and where his priorities now lie.
Shareholders should boycott the AGM unless it's moved back to our club.

Shoreham, my view on holding it at McCabe's hotel is in my posting.
I think it's simple enough for you to be able to grasp.
By the way, and I know you struggle with concepts beyond 'yes' and 'no', but Sheffield United are not shit.
The crap resides in the people who run the club exceptionally badly. There is a difference.
you should have had an invite with the accounts that should have been delievered this weekend

bigger and better location perhaps?
Complete non-point Len me old son, you have no idea why the AGM is in the hotel - bigger and better location perhaps? (and what do you care since you won't be going anyway), you really are working yourself up since you came back.
Not a non-point to me.
The location completely underlines McCabe's contempt for our club.
It should be held at the Lane, which is the home of Sheffield United, not at a hotel owned by McCabe which we paid for building before having to sell to McCabe because of his own mismanagement.
Straightforward issue for me. Shareholders should boycott the AGM unless it is moved back to our club and not held at a business owned by McCabe which will be piggy-backing on the publicity for marketing purposes.
How about a list of questions to be asked on behalf of Blades unable to attend ?

I want to know how exactly he plans to have us debt free by 2013 to be quite honest, that's a hell of a bold statement to make at times like these.
Also, will he be giving GS any support in January, or leaving an already threadbare squad to struggle for the 2nd half of the season too?
I can manage concepts beyond "yes" and "no", it's just a shame you can't get that far. So you don't agree with the AGM being held in the hotel. So go and tell them. Or is this just another excuse to not put your money where your mouth is? I'm aware that United aren't run very well. You're aware too. It's just that you have an opportunity to let people beyond this forum know your views, but yet again you hide behind a flimsy excuse not to go. This time it's because it's in a hotel.
What will be the next excuse? You've had several chances to get your views in the broader public eye and yet you have avoided the intense glare of public scrutiny. Why? if I disagreed with McCabe and the way United are run as strongly and as often as you did and was presented with an terrific opportunity to do so at length I'd sieze it with both hands, yet you won't. Why? Surely you'd make a better point by attending at letting your feelings have a public airing than by staying away. They'll not exactly be looking round for you and sobbing into their hotel napkins when they notice you have stayed at home, will they?
You have the best opportunity to let Kevin McCabe and the board of Sheffield United know how you feel about their running of the club, and yet you won't go. That sums it up.

Because i believe now that the only external debt we have is to Santander and the Tevez money will pay that up by 2013
The venue for the AGM is of course a complete red herring. There isn't the remotest chance of len actually dong anything, just like last year.
If he claims the principle of the venue is more important than getting some action, that tells us everything we need to know, his credibility drops to an all-time low.

OK len, here's your new challenge. Let's assume that we're all agreed the AGM shouldn't be held in the hotel for all the reasons you state. A boycott would be useless, that would let the useless BOD off the hook. The real objective has to be to get it moved back to Bramall Lane.
Give us a plan of how you intend to raise the profile of the issue and get some action. This is your time.
Thanks in advance.
I blinked and the hotel went from financial millstone to McCabe's cash cow. Times change fast!![]()
It's all in the Accounts Norfolk pal.
