I believe BB is alluding to the AGM.

I expect all those shareholders with questions to ask will be there....

I wonder if we've had to pay McCabe's hotel for the privilege.
Perfectly apt moving of location. Very eloquent expression of what McCabe has done to United and where his priorities now lie.
Shareholders should boycott the AGM unless it's moved back to our club.

I wonder if you'll go, considering how you know all the answers to United's current woes and never tire of telling us. Perhaps you can tell the people who have some influence rather than telling us, mere supporters?

Will you go? I am aware that this is a simple yes or no answer, one that you have in the past swerved like a woman driving through an empty field dodging imaginary sheep, but go on, let someone else have the benefit of your vast footballing knowledge, because we're getting a little exasperated with all the gob but no action.

We are all well aware that United are in deep shit at the moment, but we wait with bated breath fro your appearance at the AGM to share your insights with the board. Or are you all mouth and no trousers?

Go on lenners, you take great delight in sharing your opinions with the members of this forum. Have you got the balls to go to them AGM and let them know your feelings? I'm quite happy to take a lack of a "yes" answer as being the same as "no, I haven't got the bollocks to go and practise what I preach". As far as boycotting the AGM because it's in a hotel and not at the club then that's a flimsy excuse to say the least, but it would demonstrate the "all gob and no action" theory.

My money would be firmly on the "not going and not telling - I'm bottling out" option.

I know we're shit. You know we're shit. Are you going to tell them your strong views? I'm not, because I'm not a shareholder, and to be honest I don't get my jollies from telling the world how shit we are. But you do, and this is your golden opportunity. Will you seize it, or let it slip away?

To be honest Len, in this weather he may be better off holding it in the Car Park, then again he probably couldn`t drop an Invoice into SUFC for that.

That Hotel is gonna takeoff, I have heard the changing rooms are being moved into there

Shoreham, my view on holding it at McCabe's hotel is in my posting.
I think it's simple enough for you to be able to grasp.
By the way, and I know you struggle with concepts beyond 'yes' and 'no', but Sheffield United are not shit.
The crap resides in the people who run the club exceptionally badly. There is a difference.

I am a shareholder and never get invited. They know where I am for other purposes so I cannot understand what's happening with contacting me regarding invites.
Just getting asked would be nice werever it may be held?

I do wonder sometimes Len if ever have positive thoughts?
Just out of interest will you be attending the AGM?
I'm sure you would add some balance to the meeting.

you should have had an invite with the accounts that should have been delievered this weekend

Complete non-point Len me old son, you have no idea why the AGM is in the hotel - bigger and better location perhaps? (and what do you care since you won't be going anyway), you really are working yourself up since you came back.

Not a non-point to me.
The location completely underlines McCabe's contempt for our club.
It should be held at the Lane, which is the home of Sheffield United, not at a hotel owned by McCabe which we paid for building before having to sell to McCabe because of his own mismanagement.
Straightforward issue for me. Shareholders should boycott the AGM unless it is moved back to our club and not held at a business owned by McCabe which will be piggy-backing on the publicity for marketing purposes.

Uh-oh, looks like he's not going Lads!

Len would you please go to the meeting on behalf of us all.
Please go and explain to everyone in charge what they should be doing to rectify the situation our club and only our club is in.
Please Len,as the saviour of our club, the one with all the answers, because you are the one Len. In fact as Chesney said, you are "the one and only". Please Len I beg you go to the meeting and save us. Be the "Blades Saviour". Len you know it all and we are mere know nowts who cling to to your everyword. We are relying on you to tell this bunch of multi millionaires where they went wrong.
Len the time is now ,you need to rise up and undo the bad the evil men have done to us. Come on Len please go to the meeting.
Watch out Mr McClaim Lenman is here !!
Afterwards could you get all the main political leaders of the world together and explain to them what they need to do as well please.
Cheers Len your humble now nowt devotee
Alien
P.S. How many did Healy and O'connor score this weekend and last weekend come to that

How about a list of questions to be asked on behalf of Blades unable to attend ?

I can manage concepts beyond "yes" and "no", it's just a shame you can't get that far. So you don't agree with the AGM being held in the hotel. So go and tell them. Or is this just another excuse to not put your money where your mouth is? I'm aware that United aren't run very well. You're aware too. It's just that you have an opportunity to let people beyond this forum know your views, but yet again you hide behind a flimsy excuse not to go. This time it's because it's in a hotel.

What will be the next excuse? You've had several chances to get your views in the broader public eye and yet you have avoided the intense glare of public scrutiny. Why? if I disagreed with McCabe and the way United are run as strongly and as often as you did and was presented with an terrific opportunity to do so at length I'd sieze it with both hands, yet you won't. Why? Surely you'd make a better point by attending at letting your feelings have a public airing than by staying away. They'll not exactly be looking round for you and sobbing into their hotel napkins when they notice you have stayed at home, will they?

You have the best opportunity to let Kevin McCabe and the board of Sheffield United know how you feel about their running of the club, and yet you won't go. That sums it up.

I want to know how exactly he plans to have us debt free by 2013 to be quite honest, that's a hell of a bold statement to make at times like these.

Also, will he be giving GS any support in January, or leaving an already threadbare squad to struggle for the 2nd half of the season too?

Because i believe now that the only external debt we have is to Santander and the Tevez money will pay that up by 2013

The venue for the AGM is of course a complete red herring. There isn't the remotest chance of len actually dong anything, just like last year.

If he claims the principle of the venue is more important than getting some action, that tells us everything we need to know, his credibility drops to an all-time low.

OK len, here's your new challenge. Let's assume that we're all agreed the AGM shouldn't be held in the hotel for all the reasons you state. A boycott would be useless, that would let the useless BOD off the hook. The real objective has to be to get it moved back to Bramall Lane.

Give us a plan of how you intend to raise the profile of the issue and get some action. This is your time.

Thanks in advance.

It's all in the Accounts Norfolk pal.

BTW, do you have to be a shareholder to attend the AGM? or is it an open invitation?

I'd like to go and hear what's going to be said and what the plans are to move the club forward in the short term.

As I don't have any shares, I know I won't be able to do any voting in the AGM as people are moved around etc. But I'd like to ask a couple of questions and get a gist in what's going to happen to prevent the club going backwards. I would also like to know what the club intend to do to shut the Gloating piggies up across the City as we are getting bombarded at present with the Proudness of the Cheating they've just done.
I'd like to think the Club do hold it's Fans/Customers best wishes at heart and at least try to appease some of the people that feel cheated by them across the city, even tho I'm a Blade.

I blinked and the hotel went from financial millstone to McCabe's cash cow. Times change fast! :)

I don't know why you still bother after all these years, Trig. Of course Len won't do anything positive, never has, never will. He will, as always, pursue the path of least resistance by merely spouting repetitive stuff on an internet forum where his views can have the minimum possible impact. Lenners, the Straw Man.

Its due to all the Blades Hi-Rollers mooching into town, I have heard some of them are even preparing to pay for breakfast, just flaunting it .....

Lenners,

Will you be going to the AGM 18th December at the Copthorne Hotel, Bramall Lane?
  • Yes
  • No

If you answered 'yes' what questions will you pose?

If you answered 'no' will you be sending your questions via BIFF*?

*Presuming that BIFF have shareholder presence?

Personally I think you should go, you're one of the most consistently negative people on here with very little offered in terms of positive solutions or indeed solutions to problems that you see arising in the future. Most of your comments are brilliant in hindsight.
