Serious question:

If the Owls could clear the bulk of their debts by selling their ground, should the Blades offer them a ground sharing scheme?

It would bring in extra revenue, but could we trust them to pay up?

Or should we tell them to go to the Don Valley Stadium and ground share with Rotherham? (or the Keepmoat, or elsewhere?).

On a historical note, during the war when Bramall Lane was bombed the Blades played for a time at Hillsborough. But that was wartime - the Owls' problems are more of a self-inflicted injury.

Its an interesting question, but I think that Don Valley would be more acceptable for everyone. As it happens I'd be surprised if they lose Hillsborough. More likely that the Co-op (or whoever the Co-op sells it to) charges them a bundle to play there...

I suspect the Co-Op will sell it to the Council, who will rent it back to them for £1 a year tbh Broomers. Some of the monies needed to buy it will come from the FA - both parties doing so ostensibly to "protect England's WC bid", but really because when it comes to back-scratching and underhand skullduggery, the corridors of power are choc-a-block with filth.

I'd consider packing it in if we shared with Wendy. I'd watch us in the conference, but not watch us share with Wendy. I don't even consider that I hate them that much, but our ground is part of our identity.

I'd be happy to let them ground share - we're all part of the football family we shoul;d help each other

then the day after they sell Pigsboro I'd tell 'em to piss off big time

and let them sort that one out :)

I wouldnt want them playing at the Lane. Imagine all the trampy chav pigs writing bollox with their marker pens all over the place.
Wouldn't even let them play on the manor fields. Feck em.

I don't swear often on here but my immediate and permanent response to sharing with the Pigs would be "Fuck off!" Let them share with Rotherham at Don Valley.

Never. Send them to Don Valley or share with Barnsley.
Anyway, if they do go into admin or even bust completely, how would this affect the World Cup bid !
Would the World Cup Committee go ahead with sanctioning at a ground which did not belong to a 'football club'.
Imagine a game being played at the 'Co-operative Bank Stadium'.
This is supposing England gets it in the first place.

Why should we bail them out.
Incidently, if England's World Cup bid is successful, would their bid still be considered seeing at it would no longer be a ground 'owned' by a football club ?
Imagine a WC game being played at the 'Co op Bank Stadium'.

Wednesday played at Bramall Lane long before we even existed.

Aye, let's merge with 'em then!...:D (you'd like that eh Pete...:))

Bramall Lane was never Wendy's ground though. They paid to use it for big matches, but never owned it.

Couldn't agree more.

Well, they're considering venues which aren't even built yet, so the fact that Hellsbore effectively isn't built yet won't make a blind bit of difference to Dave Richards.

Let them move lock, stock & barrel to Milton Keynes. They can go and be the 2nd best team in that shithole instead.

Nah fuck em, let em crawl to Barnsley, Don Valley or even Chesterfields Dave Allen instead.

If, when they've exhausted all the options and the chances to go to smaller grounds, they then end up at our door.... tell em to fuck themselves and go play in the traffic
