Emmanuel Dennis - Real Madrid slayer

It does all point very clearly to Dennis, a foreign international player on a permanent, if Burke is a loan. Looks like ArticRiz could become very popular shortly!

Not convinced we were ever in for Brewster, rumours no doubt helped by our own sources, and Dennis has been no1 from the off. Cracking transfer tactics if we end up with Rammers, Wes, Bogle, Lowe, Ampadu, Burke and Dennis.

Yep, a loan for Burke does make way for another permanent striker you would have thought.

And we can still loan players from overseas. So Dennis AND Dajaku is still possible. (Though not very likely tbf 😜)

Aside from the Ramsdale bid, which could have been guessed, I don't think he's brought any concrete news to us before others. Certainly nothing on Bogle, Lowe or Ampadu, nor Oli Burke. So I think he's about as itk as the rest of us.

So interpreting what Wilder said at the weekend, "we are looking at bringing an overseas player in, and ...two strikers" he will be a permanent signing. Dennis was about to sign for Atalanta a couple of weeks ago but this fell through... so given that Leon Dajaku is unlikely to be a permanent signing, what other overseas strikers have we been linked with that are available as a permanent signing?

That's Michael Essien that, great signing.

Barney, how right you are. Essien was a superb player, good enough to grace any stadium in the world. Every so often a few players come along who, on their day, are gifted with special talents, Wilian comes to mind out of the current crop of footballers, but of that first influx of players Mourinho brought to Chelsea I'd pick Didier Drogba as a player who learnt what it took to become a great forward in English football. Initially he fell over easily, which brought with it derision from fellow professionals, but he learnt and improved, Drogba had such a great array of skills, superb determination, was incredibly hard to shift off a ball, in short he was a defender's nightmare. If I recall he was Mourinho's first signing at Chelsea.
