He never normally gets drawn about specifics on positions etc until the transfers are already completed.
Might also be trying to flush any bidders for Lundstram out into the open?

Which if the CB we’re bringing in is pencilled in for RCB, which I think they would given J-Robs and Jags are clearer cover just for their specific CB positions. Makes sense that Rodwell would become primarily midfield cover if that’s the case.

Unless it’s one of the 2 attacking players that can play there I really feel like we could do with an attacking option. There isn’t anything that could be considered a true creative midfielder there and I maintain we will need one occasionally even if it’s not our preferred formation.

He also said that we’re looking for pace, power and athleticism up top; so thankfully that rules out Pukki

As you say Didzy can and does sit and drop in the free role... So possibly one or both of the other two potential strikers may be number 10's?
Unless this whole thing is smoke and mirrors to keep V**** and Fu**am away from our targets?

Rumour mill has effectively become 'Guess-mill' this close season due to the water tight way the club have dealt with approaches - which isn't a bad thing when you consider recent gazumpings!
