Gone Elsewhere Teemu Pukki

If it gets late into the window and our main targets haven't materialised then I'd hope Pukki is a consideration at least.

Not just because he works very hard which we know is a prerequisite for Wilder, but more importantly he's an actual goalscorer. That Norwich team last season was one of the most dire teams ever to grace the Prem so no surprise he didn't bag many. He scored over 30 goals in their promotion season but if you'd have put him in any other Prem team you would've expected him to have at least reached double figures.

We need to score more goals next season just so we don't stand still or even go backwards.

His fee would probably be around £15M - £20M which I know at 30 years old doesn't quite fit our player profile when buying. But going forward signing a player his age once in a while without much re-sale value won't hurt us as long as they possess the quality and hunger in them which Pukki has. He'll undoubtedly want to return to this level and his isn't a scenario where he's on the decline a bit and looking for another club to prolong his career for yet another payday.

Entitled to your opinion but I'm not advocating a fee for someone his age as something regular. Even if he helps us to remain in the top flight it still will have been worth it.

Obviously we don't know for sure what his fee would actually be, it could be lower than what I mentioned of course. Even then whatever the maximum fee rises to will be dependant on the number of appearances and goals etc which is what is negotiated in transfers.

He went so much off the boil this year he was dropped for 3-4 games.
It's a no from me.

Was probably a case of Farke wanting to try something different, they had nothing to lose and knew they were going down from an early stage really. Pukki was playing in one of the most poorest teams in PL history.

He changed how he played coming inside the defender instead of running onto balls.

He's no better than what we have in my opinion. If we're going to spend a considerable fee on a striker, I'll be disappointed if it's him.

A big yes for me, 11 in 36 with a shite PL team - got to be better then 3rd division Toney or BM FC's latest con..

a friend down Norwich, big fan said hes leaving and most likely destination is us or Burnley.

FWIW, I don't particularly think Pukki would be a great long term signing, but I think he'd flourish in our set-up.

On the right overall deal terms I wouldn't have any issue whatsoever with us signing Pukki on say a 2 year deal.

In the right team I think he'd be a great addition and would fit our style quite well.

He’s 30 and got two years left on his contract.
The only way I can see this is if it’s at a very agreeable fee as there’s no sell on value.

I’ve never been overly impressed with him but it would be an improvement on what we’ve lost since last season. Him and Brewster (purchase not loan) and I’d be happy with our forward options.

His form dipped alot, so much so I saw Norwich fans discussing whether or not he could cut it in the championship.

He is a very very clever and deceptive footballer - that was obvious when he scored bucket loads, and missed loads in the Championship.

Would have him for me - COVID-19 has rewritten lots of rules and buying footballers for us, is one of them because our pockets aren't that deep.

At the right price he could be the right player and as CW keeps telling us - he likes different options up top.

Those stupid Norwich fans couldn't understand why they finished bottom - it was entirely down to their pathetic defence - hence Pukki never really got going as the midfield were too busy helping the shit defence out, so he had minimum service.

The question is whether our midfield can give him the ammunition. For me he is very much like Duffy - finds spaces that other players just don't see.

Worth a gamble at the right price.

I'd take him ,remember that shot he hit the post with at the lane last season showed tremendous technique and awareness

I watched most QUEST games when both of us got promoted so saw most of his games and goals.

He's very clever in front of goal, creates chances for himself with his movement. OK, so he's now two years older, but hopefully wiser for the shit season last season.

It all depends on what money Norwich want. They have a young kid up top (Adam Idah) who looks pretty decent and they've just signed Jordan Hugill, so Pukki might be available.

Well hopefully our service will be better next season but I doubt he would have scored more for us tbh.

As you say worth a gamble at the right price but for me that's less than what it likely would be.

It really wasn't just that Norwich were that sh*te the last part of the season, especially after the break. Pukki did get the ball a few times in a position wherefrom he surely should have scored. Would have scored, too, if it would've been in the autumn. But these things, I suppose they're hard to tell too much about. I mean, if the whole team has lost confidence (as was the case with Norwich), surely that affects individual players, too. I should think. (?) I'd personally rather see Pukki than Mousset in the team, but then again, I'm pretty sure that Norwich will hold on to Pukki, and won't let him go with a reasonable fee.

Perhaps not more (goals), and I don't think he wouldn't have, the way we play. Certainly would've scored more than Lys or McBurnie. But as you, in turn, say, it's not likely that we could get Pukki with any sort of a fee that would sound anywhere near right. Sadly so.

Our service was fine ,we finished 9 th
