He’s a left-back so it would be Stevens he’d be starting in front of. As good as Stevens was this season he’s now over 30 so a replacement would need lining up sooner or later

He'd have been on a good wage with us though also; albeit, not 45,000. If he does well at Fulham then fair play, but I think he'd have been better with us. Fulham lacked consistency last season in the Championship, they're gonna need to make several good signings to stay up in my view.

As per the topic of this and many other threads in the rumour mill. I ask what is our Wage structure and "average" wage? Im pretty sure all the numbers spread around by the media are considerably out of date. And didn't Cadette last summer explain how we were paying ridiculous wages for Henderson (50k a week). I agree with all the posts in this thread that we should stay in the bounds of a wage structure and especially not break it for a back up LWB. But I think many peoples estimations of our players wages are very low as I find it hard to believe we could attract players like Berge, Mousset and McBurnie who I assume were on very healthy wages at their previous clubs. He didn't say much of what the Star said, it was just an assumption and for a headline to read the article. The assumption was that he chose Fulham over us because they play nice football, and that do play nice football but that it requires more effort. He says nothing on any style of football from us or anyone else. Its an assumption from the fans also to think he moved their for more money than any other deal, but I would imagine that is far more likely than our system of play and it needing more effort. We've been widely praised for our system of play last season. I would actually say he's ideally suited to the wing back role we play.
