The fee is set by it having to be over 40 m to activate a release clause that if they so wanted Chelsea have first refusal on ( if the player agrees)

That’s a nice start for Bournemouth! Man City though! Want cunts! Paying way over for him just because they can! He will be a squad player and they pay that much witch brings prices way up !

Spot on. Unless they're planning on switching to 3 at the back then the only thing he'll be is Laporte's understudy.

I'd say our back line has to be worth between £70-90m?

We'd get a decent amount for O'Connell being left footed, Egan worth an okay chunk but less than Jack.

Baldock could potentially bring high single figures as could Enda, Basham low singles given his age and lack of top level experience in a 2 back 4.

Man City get more like the pigs every day , throwing money away . [ Watch this statement turn up on Porktalk , and get a mention on the wireless ] .😩😩😩

I'd say we'd get half the price of Ake, at most, for any of our defenders. Ake can play in a 2 and has done. He's 25 and has more than 10 Dutch caps. He's also proven in the Premier League. I'm surprised he isn't more expensive tbh.
Shock! Here’ssssssssssssssssssss Mr Positive

Citeh have only attempted to buy him to stop him going back to Chelsea. He'll spend most of his career on the bench if the move ever happens. It's a sad world whereby mega rich clubs just purchase as a damage limitation strategy, just because they can, sickens me. Not just because they are cynically self protecting, but all the young talented footballers careers they are derailing, utter cunts.
