In our ascendency, style of play and now league position we are firmly Yorkshire's number 1 club and loved by the media nationwide.

I worked in Leeds for 6 years - they are passionate fans but twats will always have to go in a sentence that contains Leeds United.

Lets hope their stay in the premier is a short one - but somehow I reckon they'll easy stay up.

Tell you what, after CW’s comments last season about Bamford, it’s going to be tasty. He’ll either score the winner ( as per Blades ways) or get carded/carried off. Oh the sweet irony if Egan did a Norman Hunter on him.....
 



I've found the coverage of their promotion to be both astonishing and nauseating in equal measure .

As a regular watcher of Sky Sports News , I cannot recall a single sporting achievement which generated as much coverage in a single programme as did this on Friday night . It's no exaggeration to say that over half of the hour long programme was dedicated to this single event and seemed to include sycophantic interviews with almost everyone who ever had any connection with Dirty Leeds .

This may have been just about understandable if it they were a club with the history and pedigree of the likes of Arsenal , Liverpool or Man Utd but the Dirties don't come anywhere close in those respects .

As to the nature of their promotion and having watched a fair amount of Championship football this season , my view is that they have been the best of a very mediocre bunch . The fact that West Brom , who are not a patch on the side they were last year are in second place , speaks volumes .

As a result , I'm going to stick my neck out and predict that if L***s don't make some seriously good signings (and I don't think they will) they are going to struggle in the Premier League and few things would give me greater pleasure to witness , bearing in mind their largely obnoxious fan base and the smoke up the arse punditry they have received from the usual suspects .

Listen to Chris Wilder after we'd beaten Ipswich - 'everyone's been talking about Norwich and Leeds'. He knows the score.

For those who think we have an inferiority complex then fair enough but let's use that complex as a strength and turn it to our advantage.

Let them have their 'moment' in the sun, if the media over egg the pudding, is it really Leeds' fault?

He misses so many chances that the pressure will be quickly on to drop him if he even starts

Completely agree with all of that bar the struggle bit.
The dirties play a very high tempo in your face style of play that I don’t see Bielsa changing.
They have a lot of the ball too, so I can see them turning over a fair few of the current sides in the premier league with their current side...much the same as we did.

Their biggest achievement will be to secure the services of players back on loan, like Harrison or White. Add a striker that puts the ball in the net, defensive additions to try and tighten the defence and if I am honest I don’t see them struggling at all.
I’m hoping that they decide to believe the media hype, believe they are an elite club (like Villa do) And go out and blow a fortune, in doing so destroying a lot of what they currently have. That could be their undoing. But I believe Bielsa knows what he’s doing and will follow a similar path to Wilder.

They are NOT a Yorkshire club, they are THE Yorkshire club. The only place in Yorkshire is leeds, unlike Sheffield, which if you ever have the misfortune to talk to any of their lot, they don’t consider to be in Yorkshire. Ive been told this at Headingley, by so called cricket fans and their idiot counterparts in the rugby ground whilst watching the Eagles.
They are so far up their own arses with their self entitled Yaarkshireness that they should fuck off to east Lancashire which is where that city belongs.

The coverage yesterday on both Sky Sports and TalkSport was truly vomit inducing!
There's even a 'special' on Sky about Bielsa!
They talk about him like he's some sort of God and as though he's achieved some miracle getting Leeds promoted to the EPL, which he has in some ways considering how long it's taken them compared to what CWAK have achieved! .🤨

Leeds have won a grand total of one more League title than Burnley have managed.

Also, I remember Megson say that about Wednesday being the biggest side in the North. What do these cunts think constitutes North? Yorkshire and Lancashire pit towns?

At the very, very least, the following teams are bigger than Leeds:

Newcastle
Liverpool
Everton
Manchester United
Manchester City

And where Wednesday are concerned, you can add Sunderland. And that's without getting into tedious about about our relative size, for instance.

The fact that they are a one club city is not in their favour. For a city the size of Leeds, on top of the fact that none of the surrounding towns have their own team (Castleton, Wakefield etc), their fanbase is appalling.

Compare and contrast with us and Wednesday. We're in a smaller city, split across two sides, plus all our surrounding towns have their own professional team (Chesterfield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster). Leeds should have twice the crowds us or Wednesday manage.
