Wilder’s not actually said much has he? He’s said that those above him have discussed it. I think it’s fairly obvious that someone has discussed it but he hasn’t actually said we are considering legal action.

Out of interest, how would you prove that we’d have gone on and won the game if we’d have been awarded the goal in the 41st minute? I’m interested to hear your legal argument.

I never said we would have definitely won. I said that the game should be replayed from 43 minutes on with us having a 1-0 lead. There is precedent in football for that. Some people have indicated that even discussing it is ridiculous and serves as massive distraction.

Manchester United managed to prove to a court that an injury caused by a Middlesborough player ruined his potentially fantastic career and got millions in compensation.

I know. The point is you can use a court to claim damages on what 'would have happened'.

I honestly don’t think replaying the match is the right thing to do. Goals haven’t been given in the past, they’ll not be given in the future. Whether it’s VAR, Hawkeye or just plain old incompetence it has and will happen.

We need to move on.
