LEGAL ACTION MUST BE TAKEN NOW

This is purely my opinion.

The world is changing right now, equality, fairness and consistency being the hot topic. I agree with all that, life should be fair to all.

So when a system is introduced in football that is proclaimed to be 100% fair fails there should be justice to the victim if it fails.

Fair is fair across all spectrums or it doesn't work.

The problem is you can't award the 3 points, possible a replay I suppose, but that's it, but we have an away point against a team fighting for their lives, who let's be honest we're by far the better side today, how many of us would take a replay??

Were all talking about what happens if we miss out by a point or 2, what if we finish 5th by a point at the end of the season now??

Would we still be calling for a rematch??

It seems that every season we've spent in the top division has ended where unprecedented controversial incidents has been costly, from hans segars throwing a game, or third party ownership but this season we've had the first suspect VAR decision and now the worlds first ever GLT error, it would be nice if our final league position is in our own hands

Fair and consistent. That's all.

Doesn't matter who played the best, depends on facts like goals.

There is no excuse for not coming up with the right decision today, whether that be down to failure of Hawkeye system (probably not being turned on in the first half), the ref not bothering to check for himself, VAR not intervening, or DS and Villa not putting right a clear injustice just after half time, but....absolutely no to any legal action..

When everyone said Hawkeye was the shittest Avenger, I always defended him. Now I hope The Hulk rips his fucking spine out.

Hulk is injured, fucked his arm up when trying to activate the infinity stones. Pussy.

And how do you come to that conclusion, goal is not given the game finishes 0-0, goal is given, game restarts with a villa kick off, not in the villa keepers hands, at the kick off grealish beats 7 men and scores from 30 yards, their tails are up and they go on and win 3-1

If the game is restarted in a different manner, the whole game after that point will be a totally different match

You can only go on the evidence provided.

By the laws of the game and by factual, legal technology we won that game tonight 1-0 yet we come away with a point. How is that fair?

I don’t think we should go down the legal route, but we’ve got to give the Premier League and Hawkeye a round of fucks. An apology simply isn’t good enough.

I can accept certain mistakes and refs having different opinions on decisions to my own, but it’s totally unacceptable for Hawkeye to fail and then VAR to not correct the error. Someone has to be held accountable for this, it’s a mistake which could cost us tens of millions.
The fact Hawkeye has failed is enough reason for them to scrap it. They cannot guarantee 100% accuracy so get rid.

And come on, 7 cameras couldn't spot it because of a goalkeeper and men on the line? Fuck off. Its a goalmouth scramble, like the vast majority of goal line decisions. Exactly the reason it was brought in!!

When it goes against you, tha dunt half get reyt tup on.
Moan at MOTD because you’re down the listings, have a pop at Lineker because he says Wednesday. Lawrenson because he predicts you will lose, scrap VAR, scrap Hawkeye. I’m losing track of all the crying, just get a grip and enjoy the best season in your lifetimes. You’re turning into Victimpool.

Genuine question.......Why are you lurking on a Sheffield United forum at 1:38am?

What’s the betting we miss out on Europe by one goal difference????
If we do it will show what an excellent season Utd. have had, hopefully building to a better 2020-21 season. As Kenneth Williams would say "can we keep it up" improving even further.
Ehy, in't it exciting this journey we are all on, lets stay positive.

Why pinpoint it to this game? You‘ve dropped points/ goals In other games. Henderson has dropped some clangers and cost you wins/draws, why not blame him? Your strikers have missed chances to snatch a point or 3. Defensive errors have cost you points.
Whining over this error and crying foul/ ”threatening” legal action for a Ref/ tech error is ridiculous.

As the technology was apparently off, if we had scored a 40 yard screamer Oliver’s watch would have stayed silent. In that situation there is no way that the goal would not have been given - ie Oliver would over-rule the GLT - which they have said he could not do.

So, if that is accepted, then if there is uncertainty in the GLT then Oliver or the VAR could review it. Alternatively, Oliver can just give the goal, which will then automatically be reviewed by VAR to see if he is mistaken.

Are there plenty of examples where a team has been wronged because two forms of technology have unquestionably failed? The same technology which was brought in to combat such claims?
No but my point is that taking legal action would be ridiculous and get us nowhere. For me the VAR ref is just as much to blame. As Wilder said, if he had stopped play and asked the ref to look it would have been given. Because the keeper was holding the ball against the post it was as clear as day but the VAR ref didn’t have the bollocks to say “hang on a minute, we need to look at this”. He had the power to intervene and chose not to.

Didn't get Uzbekistan nowhere.

What the hell would we have to lose?

A lot decyring this but imagine if that decision had involved Liverpool and they had missed out on the title. Don't agree with the legal action but could see it happening one day. Lets not forget, football is a business first, sport second.

Our dignity for being whining cunts and a whole load of cash for the sake of 2 points we are unlikely to get back. It’s still in our own hands. Let’s concentrate on that

Respectfully disagree. Don't care what the rest of the world thinks about us. I want Europe. I am sick of us being punished for being too nice.

In fact I think there is still a lot of resentment towards us anyway.

How much are the legal fees going to be? 500k? That's the same amount Berge would have got in wages since he got here. It's a tiny gamble which could pay off and make us the next Leicester.

All the best teams in the world are whining ***** . I want us to be among them.

Just going to point out that Villa should have had a pen, so it could easily have been 1-1 if VAR could be arsed to work.

Legal action after, or changing the goal / result after makes no footballing sense.
At 0-0 both teams play a certain way, make different subs etc etc. It is all inter-twined.

Agree it's bollocks and var / 4th official should have intervened. Ref should have been called to the monitor.
