It looks like I am going to break a vow I made in 1992

Judging by the OP, I assume there must have been some news about the Premier League matches being shown on Sky TV? I've not caught up with that yet, but the last I heard I understood all games were going to be shown on terrestrial TV? So if that plan has changed then, I'll also need to take out a subscription of some kind or other. I've got BT Sport now.

I'm pretty sure I won't be taking out a Sky subscription though. I binned them years ago but trying to cancel the subscription was like trying to get rid of herpes. I suppose I'll just use the online "Now TV" pass (which is still Sky, I realise) but at least you can stop and start this whenever you want.

Seen that Currys do a months pass with the stick for £40.

Once fixtures are out coukd be a option but suspect demand is going to cause issues!

Presumably the Beeb will do a highlights programme in the evening or a catch up at the weekend? There should also be highlights on the Club's official website.
I don't have Sky so I'll have to make do with a live commentary on Radio Sheffield and expert comments from Sir Keith. (How many goals did you score? Tell me again...)

With a few games on pick a day pass could work out cheaper if you have no interest in watching the other games.

It's worked out quite nicely with BT Sports, we only need to sign up for the FA Cup match on/around 27th June so a month's subscription will cover all our matches up to the end of the season.

Yes, and our matches vs Newcastle and Man U are on Pick.

Pick is a Sky channel but free to view.

Well yesterday, the brewery lorries were stocking up various boozers around our village, so I'm holding on to the threads, and praying there's going to be pubs showing the footy, even if we have to sit outside and the tv is brought out on a stand!!!
(I know it's a long shot, but I can dream!!!!!)
Failing that, il just get sky sports for a month, or try and blag a trial out of them again 🤞 ;) 👍

Are you sure they were delivering BB? and not just collecting the empties. I've got a couple off pubs, and we haven't heard a peep yet, I was even talking to the Molson Coors Rep yesterday, I needed to book tech services to come and pour away all beer on site :( to be replaced by fresh stock if and when everything fires up.

Lights have been on in our local for last 3 days.......not been on since lockdown day🤔

There were 2 Greene king lorries outside the club, 1 taking empties, 1 rolling fresh down the ramp?
Apparently they're "getting everything ready"?
Seen different lorries at a couple of the other boozers too?
It's funny how my dog walks always pass the village pubs!?......

It looks like I need a Sky Sports subscription for this summer :(
As some have said Silent, you don’t need to pay for a full Sky Q hardware installation anymore, you can download the Now TV App to a smart a TV and pay per view or monthly. If you haven’t got a smart TV can also now download the new Sky TV App to an XBox or PS and pay for just sports.

if anyone has EE it’s worth checking your account as many get BT sport through EE, I do.

Do you have any family or friends that have Sky? Could they "loan" you one of their Sky+ logins for a couple of months? My dad will be watching our matches using one of mine :)

Am likely to get Now tv but will confirm soon (rather complicated to explain). Thanks again to all for the tips.

I also vowed never to have SKY, but broke it in 2018 - which was not a bad season to watch.

I also vowed never to buy a Dyson product when he moved his manufacturing to the Far East, & so far I kept that! But if he ever sponsored SUFC, even that vow might have to go!
