It looks like I need a Sky Sports subscription for this summer :(
Or Now TV. I think it’s owned by Sky but you can pay for just the sports package. I have that to supplement my BT, it’s a little USB stick, works OK. BT have started doing all these options for Sky but I can’t be bothered to look into it until the season starts. Now TV also do a box now which they offered me at a ‘discount price’ but I thought either give it me for nowt or piss off.

Its possible your TV has the "Now TV" App built in, depending on its newness

It would come down the Internet instead of a Dish

NowTV box/stick cost £15 or less or free if a mate has a spare, even better share there subscription ! You can have upto 6 devices on your NowTV account inc mobile phone, tablet, computer, set top box, TV.

If you have a laptop you can stream all games from various places for free. Juts connect it via a hdmi to your tv and bingo. Free footy.

Beinsports are showing every game too, so you could try their online service (bein connect) and use a vpn in dubai or something to access the content. I guess it's similar with ESPN.

Just backing up those recommending NowTV, you can buy a monthly pass to sky sports so you don't feel tied in, I have one waiting for 17th June :)

Of course they will do everything they can to get you to renew, but that's a later worry ;)

The cheapest subscription is a NOW Sky Sports Mobile Pass at £5.99 a month - smart phones only obviously ;)

At least you can cancel online unlike trying to get out of your subscription on tv. They’ll probably throw an offer at you on now tv but at least you don’t have to speak to anyone to cancel.

Can those with Sky already (but not Sport), add a bolt on for a month? Or would it be better/cheaper for me to just buy a monthly NowTv pass?

Will just add to this, I have now TV box and a month pass through that is 33.99...be aware though that watching footie through Now TV box, Amazon stick or through BT on telly , laptop etc, using these the match action is delayed by about 45_90 seconds on the internet, as compared to listening to radio commentary.
So if your blades neighbour suddenly chucks the radio through the window or starts running round the garden naked whooping, you know that blades have either conceded a goal or just scored, respectively, before you see it...

Search for Magbox on eBay. That will save you loads of money and what you get with them is decent. All sports, films, documentaries and loads of boxsets and all the latest films. I know a few people who have paid £100 for a box and a years subscription. Live footy you get about a minute delay so avoid the forum :)

The best option, so I hear is iptv, allowing all channels from the UK plus many from abroad, amazon firestick and a little research and streaming is yours (I in no way condone or in any way am saying people should do this and circumvent charges from the companies involved, just mentioned as an alternative method of watching the "free" football from around the world)

It’s generally a minimum term to add it to your Sky package. But they do usually have offers on, so might be worth ringing them up.

With it likely to be a short break between seasons and not much chance of being allowed back into the Lane anytime soon, if Sky offer a decent deal it might be worthwhile signing up for say 6 months?

Well yesterday, the brewery lorries were stocking up various boozers around our village, so I'm holding on to the threads, and praying there's going to be pubs showing the footy, even if we have to sit outside and the tv is brought out on a stand!!!
(I know it's a long shot, but I can dream!!!!!)
Failing that, il just get sky sports for a month, or try and blag a trial out of them again 🤞 ;) 👍

Just hope you are not paying full price for Sky Sports - if you look around you can find people selling codes cheaper. eg on Ebay. You dont get any pressure if you want to cancel, go online to your account, my passes, sky sports, hit cancel. Thats it.

Little tip, if you are on say a monthly Sky Sports pass for £25 (normally full price £33) when this finishes before it goes back upto £33 hit cancel, they then ask you why you are cancelling on the website, always go with the "cant afford it" reason they will then 9 times out of 10 throw you another month for £25 or even £20. Depends what discount is on at the time. I've even had them offer me 3 months for £20 each.

Only issue with NowTV is no red button so if they show matches on the red button you cant watch it, as no red button streams.

Yep we do exactly that, we've had a monthly sky sports pass code, (i think we got from amazon somewhere for about £15-20) waiting to activate for a bit. Always have a look around and NowTV have offered us a discount every single time in the past if it looked like we weren't renewing.

Has anyone tried the ‘loaded‘ 4K fire sticks from NA Soloutions?

I find it quite strange that IPTV seems to acceptable on here, but talk of refunds on season tickets sparks a bigger Blade debate. Both are taking money away from the club.

But IPTV has 2 degrees of seperation, so it can be tolerated....
The other point is, this seasons sky sponsorship is already sorted. By adding to skys coffers or not, actually makes no difference this season.
Your point is valid going forward ,agreed.
