“Another us v Sheff Utd fact is that despite only playing 15 league matches against them, we have played them in all four tiers.”

They seem to be quite confident really after a poor season and up beat, surprised really

First to say "first"! That must mean I'm maaaaaasive............. forget the real facts, reight I'm off over to Pork Talk to spout some sheeite!

Cheers Royston.
Really looking forward to seeing how Sander plays at home, and how he affects the playing style. We will be favourites but Cherries are very capable on their day. Will Richie get a place on the bench I wonder ?

Great phrase “But the PL circus meat grinder will knock them down and around in time.”

Cheers Roy.
That was the one that jumped out at me and I think that this will sadly be true however better being mid table here than in any of the other leagues.

They seem a confident bunch.

The way to win this game is to get at them from the off, they are confident after a couple of results so knock the stuffing out of them early. I fear another slow start and improvement at half time though, if so then we might be 1-0 down before we start playing properly.

All a bit muh.

Good point re not being clinical enough. Blades Analytics posted something on twitter midweek , showing we create some of the best chances in the division (XG), but the conversion is pretty poor.

Even the Palace game, I was watching at home, and the 2nd half we had several chances to kill the game off (didn't need to in the end, but the point still stands)

They'll revert to type away though. Generally try to keep it tight and spring attacks on the break. Think they've only picked up 4 points from their last 10 away games.

“I’d bank anything on team v Sheff United being unchanged other than Steve Cook in for Lerma and a switch to 343. Eddie normally likes to match opponents up when they play 3 at the back.”

Unchanged apart from the two changes then?

“If we can get an early goal, this could really open up for us.”

Liverpool got an early goal and went on to win 2-0. The best team in the World at the moment.

Very disappointing that it took someone on another forum to point this out. Some of you need to buck your ideas up... ;)

I'm always interested in what their fans have to say because they are so similar to us. Strong lower division core and a hardworking style. They are better going forward (before this year at least) and we are better defensively. I think Wilder has been fairly open in his admiration of Howe and Bournemouth in general.

What's happened to them, with a lot of big money signings going wrong has to be a warning. Nothing is guaranteed.

They seem really underwhelmed about this fixture really.
