Four years after our League one promotion and still see opinions that it is all down to momentum.

We must have more momentum than the voyager Space probes.
In the next few years if things went our way we might be 13 billion miles in front of the Wendy's! 8-)

“Another us v Sheff Utd fact is that despite only playing 15 league matches against them, we have played them in all four tiers.”

That has got me thinking... who are the other three clubs that we have played in all four tiers?

You don't get off that lightly.

Classic last refuge of the scoundrel, changing the subject.

As for missing the Bradford answer, I'm now begining to think our Silent Blade has been hacked.

I am of the same thought. 60-80mph winds plus people massed together could add up to something nasty. Expecting some official announcement late today.View attachment 70980Wasn't in Sheffield in 1962 believe this happened over night
Just 24 hours before we played Norwich in the FA Cup 5th round in February 1962. A floodlight pylon collapsed too. We still played the match and won 3-1

The 60-80 mph and threat to loss of life reports this weekend only applies to to the south east.
Always pisses me off how the tv/ media are so London biased. What ever happens in London they report it as the UK weather.

SheffIeld will have 25 mph wind with gusts up to 50 mph....still bad but other areas of the country will have it worse.
The worse of the storm (winds wise) is hitting us at about 10am to 12 noon.
Also buildings/ walls are built to a much higher spec than in 1962 as now everything is ultra safe.

Silent.....don‘t you think your post is irresponsible, scaremongering giving a false impression.
It’s an interesting report showing the destructive effects of wind....but no doubt some posters will now be convinced their life is under threat tomorrow.

The damage shown in your reports quotes wind speeds in Sheffield of 96mph and there were lower building safety standards back in the day.
Tomorrow the wind speeds will be 50% lower......25mph with gusts of 50 mph.....it’s bad but nothing extraordinary.

thanks roy & this 1 reminded me of the post from the start of the season. looks like it finally caught up with them

“Cardiff, Aston Villa & WBA the first match curse……………….What happened to those clubs at the end of the season?”

“Just to clarify for any visiting blades fan… Other than Man Utd, every club who has played AFCB on the first game of a Premier League season has ended up being relegated. Have a lovely day”

Just to clarify at least one team that has played in Bournmouth’s first PL fixture, apart from Man Utd, has been relegated.
So this year that means AFC Bournmouth are nailed on for relegation. Have a lovely day.

“If we can get an early goal, this could really open up for us.”

Liverpool got an early goal and went on to win 2-0. The best team in the World at the moment.
Well this was a Wednesday-like prediction from one of them.

Scored early. Lost 2-1.
