One game at a time is Wilders way and I agree with him.the next game is Arsenal at Bramall Lane.a point will do me.however, football is a funny game.

Not necessarily, West Ham went down with 42 points in 2003. Remembered for Jermain Defoe handing in a transfer request about half an hour after the game ended.
 
Something like this I reckon, which would put us on 22 points by the end of the year. January could then be a very tough month indeed, the Spam game at the Lane is likely to be huge! But even if the worse happens that month, we then have a great chance to recover any lost ground in February and March, imo.

Wouldn't like to call it as we pick up points when not expected and lose them when perhaps we shouldnt.
We did it last season and it will probably be the same again as long as we stay positive we will be alright.

Adam I was thinking along those kind of lines but, Norwich away is winnable WHU very good side but very unpredictable, If we can turn BDTBL back into a fortress there are 6 or 5 wins there for us to aim at. Wolves just starting to improve so will be hard, I'm not saying we'll win but Citeh are beatable.

I think every home game is winnable. Having said that, Wolves looks tricky and obviously Man city away, (feeble atmosphere).
There are some points possible at every away game, but December results will be a surprise, because teams will either have got their shit together by then, or not.
 
I’m not looking too far in front, but I think we’ll get some points from Arsenal and West Ham..

We normally give the gunners a game at the lane and our away form is worth a point in London I think..

Could lose both, could win both, but at some point we’ve got to start going at teams properly, on the deck crosses whipped in at pace and no fear.

What I'll predict is we'll lose games we thought we'd win, and win games we thought we'd lose, fingers crossed its enough.
One things for certain they'll give it their all.

No mate, the December and January fixtures haven't been confirmed by Sky yet (due any day now). As you say, the Wolves on Sunday's because of Europa League I think so Newcastle at home likely to be a Wednesday

No-one on this thread saw it coming, even the most optimistic. Unbeaten in those 5 tricky games. And then after Wolves it's five supposedly much more straightforward games... on paper if we can get 9 points from Arsenal, W Ham, Burnley, Spurs, ManU then what can we get from Newcastle, Villa, Norwich, Brighton, Watford? I reckon we'll lose Wolves then get at least 10 points from the next five matches.

If we are still in a mid table position going into December we have had a magnificent start IMO. Then we come up head to head with a lot of the bottom half teams so it could be make or break time.

I'd say that's five 6-pointers in December. Wolves should have kicked on by then and Man City is a free hit.

A decent return and we are in great shape but our next 5 games are against teams currently

I have a feeling it is one of those seasons where we have stormers against top 6 teams, but then falter slightly against lower half teams (has been true so far except for Burnley, ofc).

We are a squad who enjoy the underdogs tag, just like Wolves last season who came up very well against top teams but not so well against lower teams.

What I am saying is, I would not be shocked to see us drop points against Norwich et al... cue armageddon in S2
