After August and September and 1 game so far in October we've not fared too badly. The results against Southampton and Watford the only two blips really (although, any point away should be seen as a good one).

If we are still in a mid table position going into December we have had a magnificent start IMO. Then we come up head to head with a lot of the bottom half teams so it could be make or break time.

I'd say that's five 6-pointers in December. Wolves should have kicked on by then and Man City is a free hit.

Also - i hope Ole is still in charge when we play Man U.

In Ole's defence it is the lack of depth in that Man U team that is crippling them. Unsurprisingly they have pissed money away rather than spend it effectively regardless of which manager they have.

We need their better players to remain injured for a bit longer. :)

That's true, but he's also a tactical nonentity. As soon as opposition managers realized he was going to try and get in behind their defence with the pace of Rashford and Martial, he's been well and truly found out.

Safe by Christmas...!
 
November in the past would be scary. Now, points are there for the taking. Manure and Spurs don't hold the fear this season. Burnley could.
 
if there are no managerial sackings then we could realistically look at November with the aim of 9 points.

Like the fixtures in December, but the issue may be that as they come at that pace we have to rotate, and I’m not sure about our strength in depth
Upfront we can perm 2 from 5, but if we were to loose through suspension, injury or fatigue 3 or more of the def/mid we could be vulnerable.

I can see at least 16 points from those 12 games, which would mean we need another 16 points from the remaining 18 games to hit 40 points
 
I think we will be in the bottom three in by the time we get to mid November but as long as we get to December within two or three points of 17th that’s not to bad as the early December fixtures have always looked the decisive run of games since the fixtures came out.
 
I think injuries and fitness will be key. We'll not want to rotate but will probably have to with some players.

8 games 9 points.

Next 8 games 10 points I.M.O.

I pray for a couple of goals each for Robinson and McBurnie and a couple each for Mousset and Sharp. In that order.
 
If we can keep up the points tally of just over a point a game on average we will be safe, realistically 4 or preferably 5 points from every four games, should see us safe and still in the prem. So far we are on target to do just that.

August - 4 games - 5 points

Sept - 3 - games - 3 points

October - 3 Games - So far 1 Point - 2 to play of which we could do with three points to keep us in the just over 1 point per game bracket.

:yes: it could go wrong but how about a bit of positivity , accepting of course you have your opinion.
 
Whatever you do don't look at the fixtures for January.
