Henderson

We should have converted our chances. I won't put too much blame on Hendo considering the conditions, everyone was slipping a bit with the ball.

Shouldn't really blame keeper on costing us game look at how many chances we had and errors we made going forward.
And if he doesn’t make that error we get a point. He’s not like he was on the rack getting tested every 2 minutes is it?
Of course the keeper is going to get the blame when he makes a mistake and you lose 1-0 ffs.

After the England game, Henderson said that keepers are only allowed 2 mistakes a season - lets hope that he’s right and is fault-free for the rest of the season!

so proud of the lads today, we’d played them out of ideas before the goal. Mistakes like that happen, I’ve seen higher ranking more experienced keepers than Henderson make them, he’ll recover just like he did after Leeds at home last season. Personally I’m not going to let it distract from what I’ve seen today, I can’t believe how far we’ve come.

Another good team having a off day against us eh this time the Champions of Europe? Maybe there’s more to it?

As hard as that is to take, Man City are suffering more.

He makes too many. At fault for both Chelsea goals, and this one was awful. Yeah, he does some great saves, but he does too many bad mistakes
Howler for the free kick at home to stoke, cost us the home game against Leeds and cost us 2 goals against Villa.

7 games in and he’s already made 2 big errors, not saying we should drop him but he’s certainly not undroppable.

Can make some incredible saves but overall he’s certainly no Alan Kelly and we didn’t see this amount of unforced errors from Paddy Kenny when we went up.

Really I don't get this stick he gets he gains us more points than he loses us I agree he makes odd mistake but he is still only young in terms of a keeper. I seriously think we would struggle to sign a better keeper than him he is a brilliant shot stopped and gets the team up for it. He is going to go a long way in his career and will be a regular for a prem team weather or not it's for us or some one else.

I'm a critic.... I hate to say it because he seems a good lad and is capable of some crackign saves, but he has too many mistakes in him at this level at the moment.

He'll probably be great when he's in his mid-late 20s. But for now, he makes too many errors.

I'd be disappointed if we loaned him out again for next season. I'd rather us get a more experienced, safer pair of hands.

Me too Taipei - cost 10 points last season with his clangers and he's on target to exceed that this season.

We've restricted teams to very few chances in matches all season and Henderson has largely been a spectator. So to drop two massive bollocks in seven matches is unacceptable given the faith Wilder showed in him, by waiting patiently to sign him all summer. I can't even start to understand what happened today.

I'm not mad or upset by the result as Liverpool were the only team likely to score today, but that howler was beyond words.

One of the toughest parts of playing professional football is concentration. Need to be on it for 90 odd minutes and very few are.

That's not the first goal he's given away this season. He's still young and learning but he need to work on that concentration.

The spectacular saves are the easy part of keeping. It's the reliability, strong hands to push balls out to safety from shot, the dominating the box from crosses which mark the greats. These things come with experience and training.

He's gone a bit backwards for me in his development. He was much more reliable at the start of last season.

Last chance saloon for me, he's dropped us too many points already and I'm the championshipm

Yeah he's a good lad etc etc. How many chances did George Long get in League One? (Obviously I know, different level etc etc)

Chelsea's 2nd was a mistake too.

Some say he shouldn't have been beat by Vardy at the near post too. Personally, I think that was a shot only the very best would have saved.

HENDERSON. You mean that Fucking Bastard Twat who cost us the game called Deano ? That one? Still spitting feathers but I reserve my greatest ire for 17 mil plus add ins for a forward who can’t last 70 minutes.

I think if ever there was a case to show that Hendo isn't quite ready for Man U, its today.

Fine margins in big games and today, like Leeds and one or two other games, he's made a simple error.

There is absolutely no doubt that it cost us.

However, when you flip the coin, look at how he dealt with the next chance. No fluffing his lines he was there again.

He will be a top keeper and he'll mature.

It was just a soft, soft error

More chance of us signing him If he keeps dropping clangers. ManUre will probably let him go and we'd be front of the queue. I reckon Wilder might be less interested though.

Also don't like the phrase "should have drawn/won" in football. We shouldn't have drawn because we didn't. If we should have, we would have.

The exact opposite of this is true.

"Should" implies the capacity for failure or it's meaningless.

It took a slight deflection on the way through and I think that played a part too on his positioning. Granted, we're talking centimetres but that can make a difference to a shot hit with the pace that one had.

He'll save us more points than he'll cost us. What we can't afford is to keep missing our chances at the other end, and need a couple of our strikers to start finding some form / consistency.
The deflection was irrelevant...he had his elbows too far apart. You can gather a ball like that to your chest but not in front of your legs.

Hendo is a cult figure because of his character. But he does make too many mistakes and needs to cut them out.
Agree with this.

Unfortunately his ego is bigger than his ability and that blinds many fans to his shortcomings.

As I was berating him coming out if the ground my so said "you weren't a great fan last season " so at least I'm consistent 😉

He’ll win us more points than he costs us over 38 games , very very good keeper ,chin up son , we win and lose as team
He hasn't won us any yet this season.

He even dropped a simple header from Richarlison last week and had to collect it at the second attempt.

I remain to be convinced
