This midfield did not work at all v stade. No service to strikers. We will see. Kind of disappointing after all the summer business

Probably why we're starting with two up front who can naturally drop deep and collect

Wilder knows best don't get me wrong but surprised that McGoldrick, who hasn't scored a goal in pre-season, starts over Billy who looked lively and scored a few. Maybe he thinks McGoldrick will compliment Robinson better.

I get why we've started with Lunny, I think in a week or two, Besic will take that spot but he's only just arrived of course.

Verrips has only been with the club for 5 minutes.

Wilder has never been a manager that throws new players straight in, not sure why that’s surprising people.

Mousset is obviously not 100% fit, presumably same with Morrison.

Besic/McBurnie were never going to start having signed so recently

Only question for me was if Freeman (or perhaps Osbourn at a stretch) started ahead of Lunny, the rest of the team picks itself. And yes, McGoldrick ahead of Sharp given how Robbo n McG have linked up in preseason.

It does to me, we are going with Cloughie tactics of not getting beat rather than Wilders usual lets take the game to them.

I honestly don't understand how Sharp doesn't start.

Gutted for him.

Said it before on MANY occasions.

Wilder does not rate Sharp.

And before some bellend turns my words from rate to hate, it becomes painfully obvious with the amount of pitch time he has awarded a player that has scored 66 goals under his tenure.

God knows how many it could have been with more minutes !

That said, the strikers in particular will rotate. But with nearly £30m of WILDER signings not in the 11 today, wondering how long it will take for Bill to be cheesed off with his lot !!

I'm a big fan of Wilder but he doesn't always get it right. I don't think we've won a game where Lundstram has started...I'm not sure it's just a coincidence.

He's not slow, and his feet are good. It's his brain that's the problem, speed of thought.

Eddie Howe probably laughs at everything, he's not right, he values Nathan Ake at £75m so is obviously a maniac.
