Neal Maupay

Or the case of Jerome Sinclair, his sliding doors moment, saw him choose very badly
He could have been preparing for a season of Premier League football, instead of, whoever it is he plays for now.

It all worked out the best for us, for Waghorn/Sinclair - not so much 😂

He’s as near to being a Sheffield United player today as he was back in January as you will find out very soon.

You should talk to Pedro's whinger, he hates United just like you appear to do, he will agree with your every word.

1) More money
2) Premier league
3) Greater exposure

Don't be daft, of course we can afford him, but anything above 15m for a championship striker (performed 1 season his entire career) is ridiculous. You can hold Villa to ransom, after all they're in for him too apparently.

Wherever he went he will improve his wages
PL yes
Exposure debatable playing in London and scoring regularly in the championship with us for at least 4 months could open up better options and more money for us.
Even 15 mill is a lot to pay you could argue but maybe we just want to keep him and if we could just get some bids in it would help settle the situation. The problem is his agent is the one filling his head with fictitious bids by clubs who some aren’t even interested for example West Ham.

The saga has gone on that long, I'd rather us just move on. McBurnie is the one we need as we don't have a striker like him.

Yes - we’ve moved on to players that 1) want to be here and 2) aren’t vastly overpriced by their clubs

Enjoy the championship bill
Not sure about that, 17.5m allegedly for McBurnie is overpriced imo.

Well that’s his loss, if he cannot appreciate the Peak District then he can swivel, I doubt anywhere around Birmingham can better Ashford in the Water,

Jerome Sinclair Mk 2

Absolute catmint for CW. 'Not sure if you want to come? Then fuck off.' Not all teams are like that, though. I can think of one who would have said 'Still to go on holiday? Anywhere nice? Ah, West Indies for the cricket. Tell you what, let us know when you feel like starting.'

I prefer 'fuck off.'

Hopefully some of it is contingent add-ons. We need another striker. He's clearly one that Tufty has targeted for some time. What would be the marginal cost compared with signing [in Tufty's view] the second-best?

We haven't really paid over the odds for anyone yet. Reckon we've been pretty scrupulous in this window. What I will say is that McBurnie offers something nobody else does as far as holdup play and aerial ability is concerned. The lad can also poach too. GERRIMIN!

Agreed. I'm just addressing the overpriced issue. On the face of it yes, but it depends on the variables. One thing's for sure, if he comes [I'm pretty confident he will - NITFK] and assists us to stay up, it's a price worth paying.

Exactly, we've almost gone from an ageing and pretty slow forward line, to a pacy dynamic selection to chose from. Happy days.

Good, if it means you will fuck off and leave us alone. If you were remotely funny I could almost tolerate your weekly interruptions but as they are as amusing as a dose of bum grapes you won't be missed. Twat.

Weekly more like fuckin hourly

Yes, we must avoid affectatious displays of enthusiasm for, and pride in, our own club.

Theres a vast difference in being proud of your own club and slagging off any player who doesn't automatically jump to join us at the first opportunity.

I haven't done that. I would still very much welcome Maupay. However, I may have misunderstood your point because of it's juxtaposition with my own and that of Scooter_mcgavin.

I actually do enjoy the championship and hopefully we can hang onto Maupay or Benrahma and push on towards a top 6 finish and who knows might play you again the following season at our new stadium in the PL a tough ask for both clubs though.

Not to sound overly harsh, but it will be tougher for you guys, who unashamedly act as a full on feeder club, whereas we have a manager who doesn't know the meaning of failure, added to the obvious fact that he is clearly being backed by fairly serious money.

Agreed. I would actually like to see Brentford do well and even achieve promotion, looking forward to visiting Lionel Road (or whatever it will be called) although I’ll greatly miss visiting Griffin Park which was truly one of the great, traditional grounds - can see why you need to move on but still a shame.

As for the Maupay thing, would have been great to sign him, he’s a great player - I do think he’s been overvalued but clearly Bees think he isn’t which is fine, he’s your player after all, but if we don’t get him, as looks likely, we will move on (probably already have moved on) and sign someone else.

That Benrahma looks decent...

Yet another week goes by and still no bid 😫235 pages ffs and not one quote saying Brentford have rejected a bid from Sheffield United for Neil Maupay.Yesterday Brentford rejected a 2.2 million bid by West Brom was reported on Sky and other football media sites and was true.Nearest you have got to that is Sheffield United are expected, likely, might, one of a number of interested clubs in signing Neil Maupay.Give up ffs you can’t afford him and why would he want to join a northern relegation certainty next season.See you next Tuesday

This is Billy...
Billy thinks he's an edgy and cool, interweb hero.
Billy's attempts are cringe at best
Don't be like Billy. Think before you post

We still believe in you Billy x
