Yet another week goes by and still no bid 😫235 pages ffs and not one quote saying Brentford have rejected a bid from Sheffield United for Neil Maupay.Yesterday Brentford rejected a 2.2 million bid by West Brom was reported on Sky and other football media sites and was true.Nearest you have got to that is Sheffield United are expected, likely, might, one of a number of interested clubs in signing Neil Maupay.Give up ffs you can’t afford him and why would he want to join a northern relegation certainty next season.See you next Tuesday

Well, you won't. Best chance you've got of seeing us is about 10:30 Saturday evenings on MOTD.

If no bids are officially reported then that means no bids because we're all silly little man babies......

We don't want him, he was the diversion whilst we signed the superior young French lad.

So your mocking us because the bid we have had accepted has not been rejected ?? Are you asking for Sky to have breaking news headlines every hour saying still no rejection of the bid

As for why he would want to join a northern relegation threatened team, 2 reasons, firstly he has next to no shot at prem with his current club so may want a shot at playing in a higher league, secondly not as many southerners in the North

I bet all these Brentford fans meet up at an over 60s club at 18:00 on Tuesday and Thursday every week to pore over their sticker books and drink tea.

"Look at this one here, Terry. Scott Hogan - that was a memorable one wasn't it, how Mr Benham got the fee he wanted...."

Most of the Brentford fan base on this thread.

Do they put the s24su.com link on their official site?

While you’re here lads - is there any other assets you have that are worth stripping? I know we’ve plundered most of your best players, but anything decent left? Someone with potential to play at a higher level than Brentford of course.

Oh good the Brentford knobheads are back was starting to get worried that they’d all had some nasty accident when we hadn’t heard from them for a while. No such luck eh?

Oh to be a bee and get such enjoyment from seeing all the clubs best players sold - ‘but we got the fee we wanted didn’t we boys! Success!!’

Maupay is back training with Brentford today in fairness, just posted it on his IG story.
Hopefully if we step up our interest in McBurnie it won't take as long as all this Maupay business has. I really wanted us to sign Maupay but it's been dragged out for too long now it's obvious his agent is just trying to play clubs off against each other. McBurnie has publicly acknowledged our interest & seems like he wants the move, but doesn't want to burn bridges at Swansea.

He's had his chance, and blown it

If you have accepted a bid and it's with the player to decide then no one would be quoted saying it's been rejected.

Exactly - You would think he would take note of people like Waghorn who missed out on being part of what we managed last season & seen that Wilder would have got the very best out of him - his loss.

I don't see McBurnie making the same mistake.

Waghorn got more wages than he would have would us. At the time he probably thought Derby had as good a chance as us to get promoted. Frank Lampard with his impressive playing career or Chris Wilder with his impressive management career?

Silly Waghorn.

Or the case of Jerome Sinclair, his sliding doors moment, saw him choose very badly
He could have been preparing for a season of Premier League football, instead of, whoever it is he plays for now.

1) More money
2) Premier league
3) Greater exposure

Don't be daft, of course we can afford him, but anything above 15m for a championship striker (performed 1 season his entire career) is ridiculous. You can hold Villa to ransom, after all they're in for him too apparently.
