In addition - surly he could have told us that a long time ago?
He could’ve I suppose. Or maybe he’s only just decided.

I don’t know but I’m definitely taking the info at it’s word.

Every fee was agreed, including his wages. So that’s a positive at least.

It’s a damn site better than Birmingham. Not that I know WHERE he’s going but I just know he’s said he doesn’t fancy moving north.
I assume, therefore, that if Manchester United, Manchester City or Liverpool had been in for him, then he would have declined their approach for the same reason?

They can't touch you for it these days. In fact it's positively encouraged...

Well that’s his loss, if he cannot appreciate the Peak District then he can swivel, I doubt anywhere around Birmingham can better Ashford in the Water,

Not even the best place in the Peak District. You can access Longstone Moor from Calver, which also gives you access to Curbar and the gritstone cliffs. For stunning scenery you’ve got the Kinder and Mam Tor area and for picturesque, softer hills you’ve got the area above Ashbourne.

Well I find it unlikely that many young footballers with shit loads of money would have any interest in the Peak District scenery to be fair, however other positives include having a bigger/nicer house, fresh air, open roads to drive his nice motor. And the night life of Leeds/Manchester isn’t that far away either!
Bollocks to him, hard to believe that the lad would be so daft to turn a club down based on location in a country this small. It’s not like Sheffield is in bloody Scotland! He could literally base himself Notts way and be 2-3 hrs from London. At his age and career football should be the be all and end all. You can pick where you live when you retire dickhead!

Well, fuck him. I don't care one jot.

Might sound hindsighty, but I'm surprised we wasted so much time on him. Expensive and always a long shot.

If Aguero can survive in Manchester (coming from Madrid) for this long then that says it all to me. I think Maup's likes the high life.

I think he’s waiting to see if West Ham move Hernandez on and come in for him. I doubt it’s much to do with location, more to do with not fancying a relegation battle and hoping to earn more than we’re offering.

Maybe CWAK aren’t wasting time on him and have already moved on.

Probably a French team from France.

I find the view of BDTBL as you make your way down East Bank Road hard to beat. Show him that.

Amazing what you can do without a bid, isn't it? I think I'd be pretty safe in assuming that the agreed transfer fee was considerably lower than £20m too.

Don't know numbers mate but I can categorically say those buzzing cunts from Brentford were (unsurprisingly) very wrong.

We had a fee agreed.

It’s his loss, I was meaning buying a house and living in AuW, if I had the money that’s where I would live, or Edale. You are right to list all those beautiful places, best of both worlds, big City, stunning countryside on his doorstep. The mans a fool, I bet he’s not even got a pair of walking boots/shoes, don’t come to me when you’re older and say I wish I had listened to you in 2019 .

If he’s got a dog, I bet it’s gutted, all those lovely countryside yomps to look forward to, snatched away from him, he should bite him, hard

Why didnt he say that weeks ago ? I dont believe Sheffield has moved location in that time and we could have saved 200 pages of thread and the incessant buzzing on this forum !
