Lundy stand out for me, liked the formation with him holding and 2 off striker. Duffy is class. Freeman not up to speed yet

Sometimes, we will need a hard nut on the field, and I think we all know who that is.

Big positive for me was Lunny's performance, counter-balanced by a pretty anonymous Duffy. Great teamwork though generally, and solid defending. Betis looked a bit of a powder-puff strike force though....

Yep Fleck needs to sharpen up, but Im sure he will. Thought luke Freeman was a bit disappointing to be honest. But very early days!

Good performance, clearly we need strikers.

Positives - K Freeman, Lundstram, Jags, Stearman, Moore, Goldie, Stevens, Baldock
Negatives - Clarke, Duffy, Slater, Bryan

Look away now Pinchy, but I think Lundstram could become the new Monty, ie. very effective against certain opposition.

Totally agree.
He’s not as technical as our other players but to honest he was a major part in our midfield tonight.
It made me think how funny it would be if Lunny becomes the mainstay of our midfield and he builds up a reputation amongst PL fans and commentators as being one of our better players. They do say football is a funny old game but Lunny looks very focussed and very fit.

He looks like a man on a mission, determined to break into our first 11 next season.

I think that went exactly to plan.

Kept it level going into half time and restricted them well.

Put a stronger, more attacking team out 2nd half and immediately got after them higher up the pitch.

Got the win. Added Betis to the list of..... Malaga.

The more effective team won.

A satisfying start. I think they all looked in decent nick. McGoldrick especially - being with Ireland this summer has given him a nice boost.

Funny how we read it. Thought Moore looked shaky as ever (though I'm in the minority with this one I accept) and didn't see anything from Slater and Bryan to concern me. Particularly as I don't anticipate them anywhere near the first team.

working fine on facebook
Cheers, got it on, just in time for the half time break 🙄

Thought Freeman was better than Baldock

Freeman showed good touches and individual promise but he wasn’t quite on the same wavelength as his team mates
Also doesn’t help that he lost his footing a few times but the lad has talent so no worries from me.

Baldock showed what a fantastic athlete he is, he has speed and stamina.

Just been on Sky that we beat Betis 1-0 in wait for it...

Kent

Spain.

Why is Sky so expensive, they employ cretins.

Think you’re talking about different freeman’s

I'm quite happy with that win.
By the looks of that pitch they have been staging bull fights there .Lucky to get away from there with no injuries.

I’m with you on that one, Moore’s shot stopping has never really been an issue. He looked as dodgy as ever from crosses tonight and his distribution wasn’t great. Thought Slater looked ok too.

Moore is a very good keeper but his distribution really lets him down and that’s crucial to how we play.

Lunny was very good, K Freeman had a good game and JOCs performance looked effortlessly good. Some good bits of play from Didzy and overall a very good runout for the lads, the result was just a little added bonus that will only breed confidence.

Great to see so many fans out there for a friendly 👏

Was they more Blades than Bettis fans?

They averaged 44K last season and the ground is only down the road from Seviile, so you would expect us to be massively outnumbered.

It’s no contest. Baldock.
