Before people carry on talking about him potentially looking "like one of our best players we have ever had." I need some help understanding him as a player, where would he play in our system, how prevalent are his off the ball contributions to the game and what is this talent people rave about so much and does it suit that position?

For the record, I said ‘one of the most talented’ - there is a big jump from that to ‘one of the best’

It’s not surprising that there are a lot of reservations and ‘ifs’ around Ravel Morrison but if you can’t see his obvious talent then me and you are watching a different game.

Wasn't quoting your post. Was another user's rather obvious giddiness.

I think it was me, but to be fair you've rather taken it out of context. What I actually said was
'If he does sign, I guarantee he will look like one of the best players we have ever had, and if he maintains it over the season, he will be a £40m player.'.

If anybody can get a tune out of him for a prolonged period it's CWAK.

Gerrimin if he's cheap.

I feel like our dressing room does have a bit of leeway for a playboy type as long as you're not a cock faced waffle about it.

Turn up for training in a fit state, play to your max, have a laugh.

He can keep Kean Bryan company in Waitrose. You can tell you're having a lean summer when signing this penis starts to look like a good idea.
I think they’ll stick to a standard contract.
And a penis on the Ron Jeremy scale. But a very talented penis!
No need for the full stop or subsequent “But” in that post.

It looks like a great opportunity for him and us as long as he isn’t relied on as first choice until he proves it to CWAK 🦆

If this was a potential signing for The Pigs, we'd all be laughing hysterically.

It depends.
If anyone is putting their full faith in Morrison and are treating him as the main signing, the main hope......then they deserved to be laughed at.
But if any fans treat Morrison for what he is......a gamble....like buying a cheap ticket on a lottery....probably won’t work but Wilder has a good record dealing with difficult characters. If Morrison hits his top form....then United could hit the jackpot.

This has similarities to the Ched Evans signing,,,,as long as any deal is in our favour...then he’s worth the gamble but I’m not raising my hopes too much.

I've had a really good think about Ravel Morrison since yesterday. About a month ago I was listening to talksport and Sam Allardyce was on. He was talking about Ravel and said that (I may be paraphrasing here) 'you can only try and help/stand by someone so much'. From watching the highlight videos shared on here its very clear that he still has 'it' even though he probably is not even half the player he could have been. I think CW sees himself as a bit of a 'bad egg whisperer' and so far is 1/2 with his 'bad eggs' as I think Madine was a solid signing. Ravel could have one moment of brilliance next season that keeps us up and you won't find better for free. However, I would not be the slightest bit surprised that by Christmas he is up to his old tricks. Therefore, a one year deal (obviously with the club having the option to a further 1 or 2 years) and minimal wages could see us paying less than a million for a good addition to the squad. With our limited budget compared to the rest of the prem I 100% can see why CW wants him and in Wilder we trust ⚔

Fell out with Allardyce because he was trying to push his own agent on him, together with Kevin Nolan badgering him to do the same everyday. Dodgy as fuck is Big Sam. Hardly a surprise those two followed each other around everywhere.

I did read about that but it's not like other managers haven't found him hard to handle / give him second chances. But like I said in wilder we trust

He is only 26, im sure he has grown up over the last 5 years

I think he'd give Duffy a run for his money.

He’s not Nile Ranger. If Sir Chris wants him then I’m fine with it.
