Can loads of people repeat that the budget is 50m?
It'll be equally unsupported but it'd cause less arguments.
MADINE!? you must've been pissed when you wrote that surely!?Reece James and Hendo on loan would be my two choices.
Watkins, Madine, Robinson, Fer, maybe Mikel as backup for fleck (but if we get Reece James then no need), new Lwb competition. Possibly a like for like for Duffy to who can control the final third rather than using dynamism that you’ll get from Robinson.
That’s what I think anyway haha.

That's not part of it though how can Huddersfield suddenly go up and spend 50m meanwhile we go up with a slightly better team and not even get half the budget in a time in which more money is given to promotion teams, it doesn't add up. And to answer your question long enough to get pissed off at the lack of progress at the highest level at this club.
We don't know how much we will get, to some £20m is an insult, to others it makes sense.
We don't know how much teams are really asking for when it comes to our targets and their wages are just as murky but let's try.
If Britt Assombalonga and Mcburnie would cost north of £10m then I think we are starting to draw up a Plan B, if the reports on Rodriguez are true then I think he's a no brainer and changes things up quite a lot.
- Deano on loan
- I would try and get wing back cover with our one remaining loan.
- Mikel or Fer for free.
- Freeman for £6m or Watkins for no more than £8m.
- Rodriguez for (reported) £5m
- Robinson £7m
Would that do it?
That would add quite a bit of pace, athleticism and experience. Does it add enough goals though?
You're probably right, I think I've bought into the 'value for money' bit and how much he could have gone for last year part.
I don't massively rate him but at that price we simply can't do any better.
I read a great post on here though explaining why long term (even at £12m) Mcburnie would be good value.
If I stick to my rule in this thread though, we can't make it work if one player eats up that much budget.
20 mil imo is nowhere near enough to survive, hope I'm wrong.![]()
I dont know whether things like this matter anymore but Holgate is from Donny and played at Barnsley, so it would be close to home again.

Bloody hell they've all got on at me about that haven't they? It was only hypothetical to see who people would buy with a made up (and possible worse case scenario) figure.Where did you get that £20m figure from?![]()

MADINE!? you must've been pissed when you wrote that surely!?
You've got nowt left to pay their wages. We wouldn't stay up on £20mil. Infact it'd be insulting to Chris. We simply have too much to spend in expensive areas on expensive skills. We can't even fill our bench at the minute and a quality striker will cost around £12mil upwards of which we need 2 minimum. It's hard to even guess fee's these days because they're so random.
But since you're asking me I'll give it a go:
Jay Rodriguez (£5mil reported release clause, but overall fee with sign on fee and wages would be well in excess of £12mil... but that's not what you asked)
Lukas Jutkiewicz (£4mil)
John Obi Mikel (free)
Yoann Barbet (free)
Henderson (loan, with fee)
Reece James (loan, with fee)
Luke Freeman (£5mil)
Ben Osborn (£3mil)
Jesus Christ mate it’s hard enough to guess their transfer fees nevermind their wagesYou've got nowt left to pay their wages.
Wilder will have an overall budget of £X, that he appears to be happy with.
There's no way that it would be split into separate components of transfer fees, agents fees, and wages.
It just wouldn't make sense.
Wilder said he was happy with what he got whatever that is so leave him too it.Sadly the 20m is possibly correct, the "flexible" part that Wilder mentioned was in relation to player sales I'd imagine, in effect any you sell you get the funds for the transfer kitty..
Then the Baldock to Celtic rumour started.... Think on.
thats about right from august to August we should turn over about 110 million so a football budget of about 70 to 80 million seems about right ,another 10 m on running costs, leaving a nice amount cash in hand and a Nice dividend for the investors ,jobs a good unSo the owners are a joke and the budget is a joke, yet we still keep climbing.
We had exactly the same debate when we were promoted to the Championship maybe all these posts are just cut and paste from then.
Don't forget to add 20/30 million in wages to the joke budget and funds for January.
Oh when you add all that up you have spent 70/80 million in your joke budget.
Forgive me for not agreeing. Not at all, he’s a completely different striker to what we currently have/are in for.
We are going to need that kind of outlet this season more than we did in League 1 and the championship.
Why don't you smart arse. Why don't you tell us the price of survival then and then we'll be o.k.?

Is that the same McCabe and Prince that have just funded us from League 1 to the Premier League? If £20m is all Wilder has been given after the fantastic work he’s done at the club, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him managing elsewhere by November.
The sooner we get this court case sorted the better. We have a golden opportunity and if problems in the boardroom are what stops us from grasping that opportunity, the fans will never forgive McCabe and the Prince.
‘Funded’Is that the same McCabe and Prince that have just funded us from League 1 to the Premier League?
Right pair of twats
Who appointed the "miracle workers"‘Funded’
If they didn’t have a pair of miracle workers in charge we’d still be in League one.
Yep, but think it’s obvious to everyone they ain’t got the disposable wealth to stay in the game. £20m could be true cause both will want to leave with full pockets. Is that the same McCabe and Prince that have just funded us from League 1 to the Premier League?

We know that they don't have the money to invest but what evidence is there that they want to leave with full pockets?Yep, but think it’s obvious to everyone they ain’t got the disposable wealth to stay in the game. £20m could be true cause both will want to leave with full pockets.
