ahh ok so we cant have many legends then can we
That's actually true, we don't have many legends. Some who get tagged with the word haven't really earned it. I would say the likes of Currie, Hagan, Hodgkinson, Woody etc are true legends, most others just fall into the 'fond memories' bracket.
Just my opinion of course.

Hand ball in our last game to ensure he got the move to Everton yeah Booooooooooooooooooooooooo

I'd love to see people like you challenged by Jags. You've no fucking proof whatsoever. Just a dodgy opinion and an agenda no doubt.

I was and am still critical of Jags for the handball, it was total madness but I don't think he did it deliberately with any ulterior motives. There's no way he needed to give away a pen to leave, I'm sure he would have gone anyway that summer, he'd done really well for us in the Prem and was destined for bigger things.

No need for common sense like that.

I'm well informed that McEveley handled at Spurs as he had been bribed by Levy, and offered his own synagogue.

I daren't post why Webber deliberately missed against Wigan, and the added bonus he got for hitting the inside of the post and making it look so realistic.

He's now an Aussie citizen with an Aussie wife and has no intentions of leaving though...

Thought his wife was English and got citizenship when he did

I have to smile at the standpoint of some Blades.

My mate came through the United system and Jags and Monty were consummate professionals who made the absolute most of their talents.

Yet somehow they get less respect with quite a few than the likes of Woodhouse and Morris who didn't due to their off field habits.

I shared the bar one Sunday lunchtime in the Stag with Lee Morris watching us at Palace on Sky. What an absolute prick, and utterly disrespectful to his team mates. Ended up telling him he was a bellend and not a shadow of his Dad as a bloke.

I've huge respect for what Curtis achieved as a boxer but as footballers, and more importantly United players, they shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as PJ and NM.

I suppose being a bit handy, liking a drink, and giving it large on Twitter gains you more respect with some.

That handball was a carbon copy of the handball's to give a penalty away by John Fashnu in that there was no apparent reason to do it, it was common knowledge though at the time that he would leave United should we be relegated. Everton the club he supported from boyhood known to be interested he had everything to gain if we went down. Oh and Monty didn't have much talent to make the best of he couldn't even run much without falling over ......................... just watch the dozy twat here

Proof what an ignorant bozo you are. He was one of our better players that day

He did set up the equaliser for Stead too. I remember the Fash one and he did another in the same match. But I think that they can't be compared. The Jags one was more similar to O'Connell's at Millwall but that had nowhere near the same status on the match as the Wigan one. I don't think Jags would have done it to get move, to be honest, he's always come across as a top pro and was very popular with the club.

How do you explain the surging run and pin point cross for the equaliser ?

Could anyone explain why he would be good for us when he isn't good enough for Everton, more Bladey clap trap Pinchy was right all along bringembackbringemallback.
competing with Yerry Mina, colombia 1st choice and Barca target, Lucas Digne ex barca and psg, Michael Keane England intl - for a spot, just to name a few

Digne is a Left Back, Mina was bought from Barcelona. Kurt Zouma (loan from Chelsea) is the other keeping him out.

Ha ha... my head was a tad fuzzy... it was 8am-ish on a Monday when i wrote that!

I meant Mina was a Man U target, and yeah Zouma and Keane are keeping him out a CB. Still 3 very good players ahead of him... I don't think it's that Jags has fallen massively far behind, they have some decent options at CB

and to say he still gets a look in as a squad player at 36 is a testament to his ability and reputation there

Absolutely - i think he could really bring something to the squad for us next season.

The last game i saw jags play for everton he scored and had a great game

If he hadn't played here before we wouldn't have a chance in hell of signing him
The guy captained England and most of you don't rate him
Says a lot about out fan base

Yerry Mina's reputation is built on two bullet headers in the World Cup, he's an absolute bombscare with the ball at his feet. Russia 2018's equivalent of James Rodriguez in 2014 or Salif Diao from 2002: overhyped based on a couple of stellar moments at the World Cup. Quite how Barcelona almost trebled their money on him is a mystery.

He had a great tournament to be fair and Barcelona saw enough to.sign him before
that ,flattered to deceive a bit for everton so far buy I think there is a great player In there when fully fit
Reminds me of ledley king

We'll have to agree to disagree. Barca took a chance on him coming in from Brazil but it really didn't work out, he was nowhere near good enough with the ball. He wasn't in their plans at all so to get £27m is outstanding business.

The only comparison to Ledley King in my book is on injury records.

I hope this is just idle speculation as it would be a bad regressive move

I've given him a lot of thought & I'm torn with it to be honest. I'd be happy if we did & equally as happy if we didn't.

On the positives, we are short in both numbers and top level experience, and would benefit from some ring craft down our spine. It would appear that we aren't going to break the bank with our signings, so picking up a player of PJ's ability and pedigree is a good move. He's an ex blade and also has unfinished business with us, so to speak. So on a short term deal with coaching input, he'd tick a lot of boxes. In a moment of need, i'd rather call upon the likes of Stearman or PJ, as opposed to KB.

On the negative side, he's a decent age, and i'm not sure how his legs are. I doubt he'd come to us as a squad player, and in our current formation, I'd probably see him in the CCB position, which would mean the JE either moves out to RCB or to the bench, and at 26 yrs old i'd like to see him evolve into a top level, £20m+ CB.

There's also a strong argument about not going back to previous players and/or old players looking for a final contract. As good a servant as he was, and as good a player/pro as he is represents the past, and under CW we don't need to revisit it and that's no slight on PJ.
