I know I'm a bit previous on this but, I cant help it.
So, who would you like for our first match ?
Glamour match maybe, Spurs away ? Day trip to Old Trafford ?
Arsenal at home on a sunny BDTBL ?
Personally, I would go for Norwich at home. A match against a team who we will be evenly matched with.
3pts on the board - up and running.
When you actually look at the teams we have to play, its quite daunting.
Not many weak links.
West Ham at home for a 5.30 KO would be interesting.
Worst away match possible - Burnley.

I think we will have Man City and Liverpool first 2 games

Fixtures not out for weeks, enjoy your summer before that... :)

For away matches I am hoping that we play at Norwich, South Coast clubs and Palace either in August, Sept, April or May. Hate driving in the dark after matches

I've always been impatient I'm afraid.
Bit giddy about it all.
I’m enjoying that we’ve gone up and drank far too much over the last few weeks... or season.

However, reality is hitting that we’re leaving a magnificent league and going to a media hyped one which is more plastic...

We’ll enjoy fewer games and we’ll not play anyone that we have a rivalry with, so whilst it’s great to be up, I’m not that excited.

Away games I’m hoping to be home for - Liverpool, Everton, Spurs, Chelsea and perhaps Bournemouth or Brighton at the end of season in the sunshine

Other than that - Old Trafford and St James we’ll be miles away from the pitch, Man City and West Ham are shitty new stadia

I’m kind of hoping Leeds or Derby make it up for a bit of excitement

Always best to get one off the big hitters out of the way on the first day, maybe catch 'em by surprise. City or Manure at home will do.

Liverpool at home. 2-1 win, Deano to score his first goal for us after 26seconds.

32 days to fixture day

Top 6 side at home. JOC overlapping run leads to our goal.

1-1 draw. 1st on MOTD every week from then on

Watford (a) 4-0
Palace (h) 0-2

Chris Wilder - is he all that ? phone in ' special' on Talkshite.

Jeez - just woke up in a cold sweat....

I think the promoted sides usually get a top six team in the first game, don't know if that's by design or not, but sometimes a good, thing as often the top six sides don't always get into their stride early in the season, and can drop a point or three in the first two or three games.

Bring on Man City!

Post #19 on this thread suggests otherwise.

One of those middling type of teams at The Lane - like Watford, Palace or WHU who think it will be all too easy for them to win a newly

promoted team just like Brentford did two years ago.

Think we'll end up with one of the top 6 first game, do or die atmosphere so no "feeling out session" for the first 90 mins of the season. I'm calling Tottenham away, first game.

I have feeling it will be a TV match - we have had several in recent years.
Go for Everton at home.
