not just his goal tally ( which again is excellent) but his overall CF play has been excellent and has got better and better all season
the goal against Leeds a brilliant example

a Leader, Goal scorer, 100% committed and a great role model for kids and all fellow professionals - A legend . Would love him to get his chance in the prem with us and Imo would still offer a huge amount

The one who Imo is 2nd and been a surprise (just ahead of numerous others ) this season is Stevens
he has been fantastic and after the 2nd half of last season i didn't see that coming and thought he would perhaps trial off and be replaced but has come back and been brilliant

mcgoldrick has also been a surprise and what a great player to watch

Joc/ Egan / Bash/ Norwood/ Hendo also pushing

all been brilliant , 8 games to keep it up !

Incredibly hard to pick, so many good players, we are spoilt for choice, from back to front, from Hendo to Billy.

Egan has been immense, but JOC and Bash do the marauding runs, Enda is getting better and better, Norwood has been a steal for the price, McGoldrick was daylight robbery and if you look for a definition of "solid professional" you will find a picture of Martin Cranie.

Our bench always looks solid.

Henderson, Stevens, Basham, Sharp, Egan, JOC or Norwood

They have provided a solid spine to the team. You pick everybody else around them.

I also think Fleck has had a really good season but I don’t think he’s stood out, because Norwood has been that good

McG has been very good and better than I expected, but I think he’s just a little too wasteful.

Duffy, Freeman, Baldock and Hendo are just behind these two and have either not played enough or haven’t been consistent enough

Do you think Henderson hasn’t been consistent enough? Can think of three errors in two games, out of 38 - that’s not bad going. He’s saved far more points than he’s lost, imo

The shortlist, in my opinion are players that have influenced the season as a whole much better and i don't think that its easy to do that as a keeper of a top side. It doesn't mean that he's not as important, but i think that the likes of JOC, Norwood and Billy have influenced the team performances better.

Yeah you're right, but i think over the season i don't believe he's been as much as an influence on the team as the others.

Over the season, consistency wise, Billy, JOC, Bash and Stevens have been out front. But i think when you look at certain games through the season, there have been cool heads like JOC, Billy, Egan. There have been rousing performances from the likes of Billy, JOC and Bash.

When you talk in those terms, i think Hendo is quite a way off the rest. Its not a criticism of him.

I think you could make a strong case for half the team to deserve it, & If we do go up awarding it to the entire team would be a fantastic accolade for them. For me I think Egan has made a huge difference, last year our style was somewhat nullified at times by teams sitting deep & hitting us on the counter attack, & Egan has made us much more solid & less susceptible to breakaway goals.

Real hard choice this year, Norwood definitely raised the standard, Egan has been fantastic, and you always want a goal scorer to score and sharp has been magnificent..

Whoever the player is it’s well deserved, bash hasn’t let anybody down gives everything and went boozing on London road after the last promotion with the fans, that’ll do for me.. no nonsense you get what you see, will play anywhere won’t moan and down to earth, that defines a team player..

The kind of player we’ll miss if we get in the premier league..
