I honestly couldn't pick one at the moment. As you say, so many contenders.

Has there ever been a more difficult choice ?
Norwood ,just ahead of about 9 others mainly Sharp ,McGoldrick Egan and Hendo. Stevens and JOC coming up on the rails.

My shortlist in no particular order behind billy, would be...
Sharp
Norwood
Egan
Bash
Stevens
JOC

The next 8 games will be key.

I also think Fleck has had a really good season but I don’t think he’s stood out, because Norwood has been that good

McG has been very good and better than I expected, but I think he’s just a little too wasteful.

Duffy, Freeman, Baldock and Hendo are just behind these two and have either not played enough or haven’t been consistent enough

It's been a real team effort this season. I don't want to buy into the narrative that we're all about the unit because I think it ignores that players like JOC, Fleck, Norwood, Basham, Sharp, and maybe a couple of others proved themselves in the Championship before this season started, and this season have to be considered as stand out players at this level. Nonetheless, even the squad players have shone when called upon and picking out the best feels unfair to the rest of them.

For me, its JOC or Bash. Both of them, even when they don't stand out, are a guaranteed 7/10 performance at a minimum. Add to that their part in making our unusual style work (overlapping centre backs alert!) and for me those two are the heart of what makes us tick.

All the flair in our side is underpinned by their hardwork, determination, and ability to join an attack.

But none of them would get in Wendys team apparently

Stevens
Egan
Sharp
Henderson
Norwood
JOC
Fleck
Basham
Baldock
Mcgoldrick

If and I mean If we go up is it any coincidence that Norwood will have been promoted 3 times in 3 years?

If we make it there - give it to the lot of them.
Agree
It always seems unfair when it's a close run thing between 2 or even 3 players but when over half the team have a legitimate claim for POTY it seems daft to pick one.

I would go for steven's. Just because he is the most improved. Although like we all say. Theres a number of them that could win it.

Sharp has improved his game out of sight this season
He is at his peak and we miss him when he doesn't play ,for me the last 6 points we gained were down to.him and wouldn't have happened if he wasn't on the pitch
Off the field he is a leader and has conducted himself with so much dignity and professionalism wether in the team.or out of it

Hope he becomes our manager one day

In terms of making a massive difference to the team . It would have to be Norwood I guess. It all changed for the better when he signed. For the way we want to play

I think the whole squad has been brilliant
everyone who has been asked to step in has excelled Crainie Stearman Johnson
i cann't think of anyone who has let us down
i am still expecting Jake Wright to come on and score the winner against Stoke
best squad best manager in the league

I agree it's incredibly close between Sharp (best striker) Egan (Best Defender) JOC (Best overlapping Defender) Norwood (best midfielder) Stevens (Best Wingback) & Henderson all the other squad members have all been great this season Stearman coming in and doing a great job when called on for example, so it even seems difficult to pick out a best player in each department.

I would go for Sharp though even having picked out the others. The reason is not just his scoring which has been incredible but also his aggressive hold up play and unselfish passes in the last third. For instance Didsy would not have passed to Bash against Leeds he would still have tried to do it on his own with three on him. I would not complain if any of the others got it though as it is that close.

Norwood for me. He has been the difference between a potential playoff team to a potential championship winning team

Sharp
Egan
Jack the Hat in that order.
Difficult to argue with that tbh.

Strikers do seem to get the headlines somewhat more. Sharp has been great, but I would give it to Egan, purely on the basis of his level of consistency, and the huge impact he has had on our defensive stability this season, which is markedly improved from last season :).

Most influential player, so to say.
