I 2atched a consummate big strikers performance for Bolton against us last season.
I've been very impressed with every performance for us bar one rash moment.
I fail to understand how so many supposedly intelligent fans are incapable of seeing how good a player he is unless it's agenda driven. In which case they have to hate Wilder.

Opposition managers must have had a nightmare trying to plan how to defend against our front three as it seems to change in someway nearly every match be it the strikers or the attacking mid. What Madine has done is told Bielsa we will be playing Didsy and Sharp up front on Saturday and with no option to go more direct and so he can plan accordingly.

And I’ll add that the tackle that Basham got booked for was worse. It reminded me of the one that Vaulks got sent off for against us on Saturday.

Madine looked out of control from the off to me, his jumping for headers was all over the shop and five minutes before the sending off he'd kicked the ball away in a pointlessly mardy way.

I noticed he looked pissed off from the start. He kicked the ball away a couple of times in quick succession prior to the sending off.

Wonder if he knew he wasn't playing against Leeds?

In purely footballing terms he's a strange player. He often looks slightly headless chicken but his ability to ruffle centre backs really works for us. He does well in the air against bigger opponents and is suprisingly good on the ground.

He's clearly been a positive addition on purely footballing terms. He gives us something we didn't have and allows us to switch things up. Gives us a plan b we've been lacking.

Agreed. He wasn't gonna give our penalty until the lino flagged it as he was already starting to move back towards the halfway line. I thought he was hopeless on the whole but the red card was one thing he managed to get right.

So you think he wasn't going for the ball ? Why would he do that right in front of the benches under no pressure when playing well and we are near the top of the league. You think he deliberately got sent off ? Why ,what would he gain from it ?
It was a mistimed challenge to win the ball high up the pitch which we do ,just think about things.

I've not seen it on TV but at the time it, although it was a stupid lunge, I thought a straight red was harsh. What probably didn't help the ref make a decision was both the way their player went down (and got up uninjured as soon as he got the red card out) or the way the majority of the crowd give a loud "ooo" at the challenge .

Then have a look at how many points we have gained due to him since his arrival.

How many games can you say with 100% certainty, we wouldn't have got a result without him? I'd suggest none, although I accept he does give us a very different option.

Why we saw tonight was nothing short of remarkable yet the biggest thread on here is about Madine surprise surprise!

FFS, it is NOT about 'prejudice'. If you employ a thug with a track record of thumping random strangers, you are taking on someone with serious character flaws. Quite why people are then surprised that he does the same random violent thing on the pitch, mystifies me.

Very harsh sending off in my opinion. Not in the same universe as the Vaulks sending off who seemed to jump in at pace with studs up
