Thought he'd cost us promotion, can't believe we made it out of that alive.

Not malicious I don't think, but he's been 'done' by a CB, lumbered to get an angle to challenge and went in studs up from behind. Red.

Lumbered. You nailed it with that word.

What a total fucking idiot.

The most stupid, avoidable red card you're likely to see. 1-0 up early on and in a completely harmless position on the pitch.

We have an outstanding disciplinary record, trust it to be him to get our first stupid red card for a very long time. None of the players who've been here any length of time would've done something as ridiculous as that.

He's lucky we got away with it tonight but will we get away with being without him at Leeds, and the next 2?

Not sure we’d be saying that had the players not dug us out of a hole and managed to get a win against the odds.

He so nearly cost us big time with a stupid, petulant lunge. I don’t see other players making them challenges.

Hopefully it’s just a one off. But that was a stupid thing to do tonight.
It obviously is a one-off (well a two off) as it’s only the second time he’s been sent off in his career and the last time was 71/2 years ago. That why I thought you saying that he could be a liability was way over the top because it’s obviously out of character bud.

Like I said, his disciplinary record is also pretty good...on the pitch a least.

Just what the players needed playing a man down for a hour going into the biggest game of the season.

Hes an absolute shit wipe. Does that when he knows the ref loves giving out cards.
Could have really fucked us over but guess that's just "I'm Madine I'll do what I want".
Hope the cunt never pulls on a Blades shirt again.

What a fooking shock. This been pent up for 2 months then KK?

Launches himself with studs up towards the back of a player going nowhere and not in a dangerous position whilst under no pressure and in the first half of a game we are winning. Some might say how bizarre. Others may say how curious. Certainly very strange.

Really shocked...

Not by Madine's challenge. Let's be honest, if it was Billy or Bash, Norwood, or Flecky we would all be arguing the point about it being a dodgy/harsh red.

I hated the idea of signing the ex-Piggy thug, but in all honesty can not criticise a single performance since he joined.

So why am I shocked? Well, I don't post on here much but follow nearly every post.

And there are so many posters whose opinions I would have said I respected, who tonight have jumped on a pathetically transparent bandwagon. Really? Grow the fuck up.

Name a single match where he has cost us a single point. Then have a look at how many points we have gained due to him since his arrival.

And get behind the fucking team. Blackburn, the ref is a twat and it sends the atmosphere through the roof. Tonight?? Nuff said

I didn't want him here, I made my feelings known, and since I saw him play I've had nothing but praise for him.

That's the clearest red card I've seen in a while. He's nowhere near the ball, he's coming from behind, his foot's high, and he stamps out as he does it. Not afraid to say I think that was malicious, not afraid to say this is exactly the kind of thing I feared when Madine came in.

Such a talented footballer and he's wasting his ability again.

I think up to tonight he’s been good for us.

But I would now be worried trusting him if it goes to the pressure cooker of the play offs.

He’s also denied us a different option for the next three games.

Idiotic it has to be said

You wouldn’t be there to witness it even if he does so I’m not sure why you’re concerned about it.

CW said he knew it was a red straight away and Madine lost his head. His challenge was as bad as Vaulks on Saturday and was deserving of a red. Can't disagree with that.

I had a very good view of it at the time and it didn’t look like stamped at all. It looked like he just tried to stretch a bit further, though I can see how someone might see that as a stamp. His foot also wasn’t very high. You can’t see either of those particularly well on the replay because of the angle, so thought I’d point it out.

Have a double like!!! It was a stupid challenge and a red in my opinion, but the usually suspects are out in force. If Wilder picks him after his ban he will get my full support if he doesn’t that also gets my full support! Why is it some of our fans look to anything to have a go at!

Listen to the best manager we have had in a lifetime and get behind the club. Why we saw tonight was nothing short of remarkable yet the biggest thread on here is about Madine surprise surprise!

I had a pretty good view from the South Stand and said "That's a red" before the ref got his card out. Wilder's also said it was a red. It's an awful challenge. I was laughing that Rotherham fans were defending their lad at the weekend and I'm just as stunned that anyone's defending this one.

Maybe it's not as malicious as I'm making out, I can't know what's in Madine's head, but it's a straight red all day long.

I disagree but it doesn’t matter. I certainly didn’t see any malicious intent. As I’ve said, Basham’s tackle was worse so we’ve got away with that one at least.

He will be picked after his ban - his value is obvious. And surely to goodness he can’t do anything that stupid again this season?

This is the moment he launches the tackle, you could say there's a ball to be won there, but he's too slow and the defender is quicker to get his foot on the ball, meaning Madine hits him:

Poor quality, but slow motion and zoomed up here:

Watching that back four times, slowed down as much as it is, it looks as much a yellow as it did a red, it really could go either way. In real time though, and the ref only has one view, of course, it looks much worse.

You obviously do, which is to refute any criticism of Madine, justified or otherwise. It was a nobheaded challenge no matter which of our players had done it. In this case it happened to be Madine and it was stupid.
No I don't
