You didn't mention Villa, Swiss was talking about Brentford and Villa.

He set the winner up against Brentford. He didn't set the winner up against Villa.
I was responding to his 'chased everything' comment about Villa...

When you make a comment is shit that’s fine, when you keep going on the same subject that’s whipping. Glad to be of help
A whipping boy is a scapegoat. A scapegoat is someone who is blamed for his teammates inadequacies, sometimes unfairly. Conor Washington doesn't get close enough to the team to be blamed, therefore meaning he is not a scapegoat, nor a whipping boy, but just shit.

Thinking someone is crap does not constitute them being a whipping boy

I guess we don't see eye to eye then. From where I'm sitting it seems awfully like you're sticking the boot in, much like with Marvin Johnson the other day.

I'm not trying to censor you either, I've no doubt you're not alone in your opinion. I just wish we could find more positive subjects to discuss: the team are collectively playing out of their skin, and are defying odds with their current form/league position - something which wouldn't be immediately clear to readers of this board, particularly this thread.

The subject of this thread was Conor Washington...

The team and players deserving get plenty of adulation from me and others who share similar opinions. If you don't recognize your weaknesses you will never improve on them.

I know what the subject was, I'm just saying you can discuss the merits/weaknesses of Connor Washington without calling him "crap" or saying Martin Cranie would do a better job up front.

There’s a time and a place for calling a player crap isn’t there, we (un) saw enough of Dean Hammond to say he was crap and nobody would challenge that... Don’t think we’ve seen enough of this lad as yet..

Fact is, he’s part of a squad sitting up the top of the league, should we be calling anybody names instead of supporting them at the moment?

Washington to go at the end of the season, not really done anything that makes me believe we need to keep him.

I’m not anti Washington. I think he could be quite decent if he got gane time and when he comes on he’s a bit of a menance for the opposition. Reminds me a bit of Ricky Holmes
Who?:p
