23000 for the New Dawn. They aren't really believing the hype are they?

He's playing them like a fiddle already. Telling them how they are great fans and a great club bla bla.

He's had his PR team working overtime finding out what makes the pig fans salivate and it's all about being the greatest fans in the world

Of course tho, he never said the same to the Villa fans did he?

My one prediction is this:

If Chansiri isn't able to get the cheque book out, Bruce is taking them nowhere

Yes but their boz eyed Owl club crest is the 3rd best behind Swansea and Notts Forĺest according to Talksport, we are 15th.
And its led to a couple of pearler's on Porktalk.

Probably the most recognisable logo n football. What would clubs give for that level of branding!

Came 3rd and looks great. A agree with Swansea as 1st the simplicity just works. Not sure about forest. I never gave it much thought but the pig's logo is awful. It's like looking at something on ms paint when the backlight on your monitor is on the way out.

New badge is much better and hopefully in years to come will be recognised globally once we're back inthe premier league.

Best badges are Us, Reading, Forest, Blackburn andNorwich

Worst Badges are Aston Villa, Pigs, Rotherham and Bristol City.

Only an idiot or pig would think their badge is more recognisable and better “branding” than ours. Ours is great. Could maybe be modernised a bit I think we should do what the Manc clubs did and get rid of the FC bit just have SHEFFIELD around the top and UNITED around the bottom would look better imo.

Was it Bruce? Haha..

When he decided he could still do a job and kitted up.

Maybe he'll try it at the deathtrap next season once he can register players again.

No it was Robson. Enough of that, for all his faults we have Wilder who IMO already outshines Colin and is second only behind DB.

Nonsense re the modernisation of our club badge idea. Our club badge is a thing of beauty, and is complete perfection. It's striking, bold, beautiful, strong, and very easy on the eye. It's like looking at a football club badge version of Charlize Theron wearing nothing but a cheeky smile and 'come to bed with me eyes'.

Some things just cannot be beaten or improved. Our club badge is one of those things.

What about the guy who said he loved listening to every thing Bruce said, why not ? He is their first manager in over 3hrs who can speak English !!!!

Sorry, there's no such thing as a Geordie who can speak good English, Carlos and Lucky man can probably speak better English

Aye - great move lets go for a 'brand' image and expunge any reference to what we are - a football club !
Why not swap the cutlasses for coke bottles & the white rose for an (Apple Corp) Apple while you're at it
Only consolation is we keep the red as apparently (according to owners / investors' in the 'far East' it's a lucky colour
Perhaps we could also shift 50 mile or so away build a new town (complete with concrete live stock & (fake) plastic trees ) and become "None Descript Blades"

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr

Nah, who cares about the best badge, we're just descending to their level of childishness, I'll just settle for being the superior football club. But Charlize, now that's a different kettle altogether!

I can see Brucie and Tango having a Sumo wrestling contest...

If only one of the graphics geniuses on here could make that image happen, though I might need a wider screen.

This would be perfect.

Their abomination of a badge, whilst admirable if a 3 year old drew it, is one of the funniest things about their diminishing identity. The Theatre of Rust will soon be renamed by a company that cares little for their brand (Chancers Dad, coughing up to support his faking son. Again).

Find me a Truffle Snuffler that says it prefers the new badge to the previous and I will show you a liar. They'll suck up anything rather than face the truth that their owner is chip, chip, chipping away at the foundations of their club.

It would be sad, if it wasn't so funny.

How dare you even put this abomination on this forum???. I’m just about to have my tea and now feel violently sick!!. UTB

Had to listen it today at work how "thrilling" the 0-0 draw with reading was, the old Wednesday really are back after how well they played while not scoring against reading, apparently.

I was chatting to my Wednesday supporting friend recently about our two clubs, our respective forms (or lack of) and it got onto a comparison of the size of our two clubs (of course he diverted it in this direction).

He genuinely believes Wednesday are a much bigger club than us. Genuinely. He’s a fairly rational fella, someone I like a lot. But when it gets onto football all reasoning just disappears. I asked him on what basis he thought they were much bigger and he brought up crowds (which I dismissed quickly with the obvious facts) and then their “richer history.”

So I took to google to see what this supposed history is. I can’t see anything that should warrant the Wednesday fans’ constant referencing to it. Could one of the older Blades fill me in? I know they’ve not won many trophies but did they used to come close? Were they ever a long way above us, in terms of football and crowds, for a seriously significant amount of time?

I’ve always sort of taking it as a given that maybe they are slightly larger (maybe 5-10%) in terms of fan base and that they probably have a better history. But a quick bit of research kind of destroyed those two notions.

If I’m not wrong and they actually have a near identical history to us in terms of crowds and league standings then I just find their attitude really odd.

The two clubs are roughly the same size although when I grew up we were definitely the poor relations
They were in the top league and we were in the 3rd .then we were both in the top and they had a great side that won them a cup
Thinks have balanced back out to normal now though .historically the difference in attendances ,trophys etc is negligible

If modernising it means it looking like one of PG's macaroni pictures like their badge I think I'd rather leave it be ;)

He's right, since 1900 there average home attendance is about 1980 per home game more than ours. If it wasn't for 6 seasons in the 1940's 50's it would be about 1750. Now look throughout those years and look what they've had in way of stadia, signings, honours, euro football etc. With all that their support has been crap. If the rolls were reversed then we would be miles in front on attendances. Was always told as a kid that we are SHEFFIELD'S TEAM.

Its nothing like that, in the historical attendance table they are about 500 above us
Negligible

To be fair, they definitely attracted bigger crowds between 1867 and 1889!

For anyone to suggest , even a Grunter at the highest level of self delusion of which we know they are capable , that their badge is anything other than farcical is almost beyond comprehension .

When I first saw it I honestly thought it had been knocked up by one of our members to take the piss but in hindsight , none of us could have done it as well as they have .

It is quite comfortably the worst club logo I have ever seen and just another contribution to making them the laughing stock they have become . :)
