CONFIRMED Clarke going

Personally I still think Clarke could play a part in the push for promotion. Should something happen to Sharp, I feel Clarke remains the most natural goal scorer to replace him. As soon as he scores he looks a different player, playing with confidence he's still quality.
If however Clarke wants to move on, I'd fully support it. At his age, after what he proved he's capable of last season, I'd understand him wanting regular first team football.

If he moves on I'm sure it'll be mutually agreed by the two, based upon what best; not due to attitude.

Goody. Another thread where it's all about who knows more, and who's the superior.

:)
Never intended to be as such.

Just the info I’ve been told I trust and I’m not going to sling it in an open forum. Happy to tell anyone through a personal message.

It wasn't a personal dig at yourself even if maybe seemed that way.

Rumour Mill is for what it says on the tin even though the etiquette is to provide a source of some sort.

I have zero problem with people posting ITK info. It's entirely up to myself how much credibility I give it.

I just find some of the squabbling over such matters, often from the same small pool of superiority complex types, a tad unnecessary and childish.

Just my two penneth.

If you believe your info, keep posting it.

Heard him and Freeman could both be on their way. Attitude problems.
Not a pop at the poster, but these claims of "attitude problems" fecks me off royally as they're never backed up with anything credible.
Both players had a major role in our previous seasons and now are highly likely to be surplus to requirements, they are also highly likely to want to be playing, so would look at a move to facilitate that.
Neither player have had this accusation thrown at them previously but suddenly because they may be off it's banded about.

Apologies, rant over, but it does my head in, how we have to dig at players just because they're leaving.

Edit: feel free to ignore, as I read the thread I can see others thought similar. Just a bugbear of mine.

Was told at the Barnet game he was likely off this month. Consistent injury issues the reason. Shame. If true good luck Leon and thanks for a lot of great memories.
You will always be a legend for the brace at the Sty.
But that begs the question, If he has consistent injury issues why would anyone want him?
Is it a product of our intense style of play?

I always liked Clarkey, he was always a thorn in our side as an opposition player, I remember him coming on as a late sub, Scunthorpe away, they got a corner, ball swings in and he just burst through our defenders and headed in, never broke a sweat.

He scored against us when he was at Bury, and when he was at Coventry (multiple times), he was always a handful.

Yep remember it well that game. We were down to 10 men for the last 15 mins aswell. Drew 1-1, Late Neil Collins goal.

Duffy was playing for Scunthorpe too.

Same season that Mark Duffy absolutely bossed the game at Bramall Lane. We won 2-1 but remember talking to a Scunthorpe fan the next day about Duffy

That was it, Ched came on as a sub and almost scored with a spectacular overhead kick I think?

Agreed, will always be more of a Blade than a Gruntbeast :D

I don't think we're talking serious injury issues. More niggles that prevent him performing to his full ability. I think if he leaves it will likely be to do a job for someone in League 1.

Apparently he asked the gaffer for some time off as his heads not in the right place

The very reason he wasn't anywhere near as controversial a signing as a few now seem to make out he was.

So ... are there any persuasive, public domain sources for this Leon To Rotherham thing? Or is it just rubbish from kids on twatter?

Sharp
McGoldrick
Madine
Washington

I don't see any point in keeping Clarke with Madine here.

Is there any truth in the player swap with the Millers then?
