Not surprised with Madine coming in. Said on another thread that IF we sign another forward then Clarke will probably be displaced from the matchday squad, just as Washington appears to have been.

If he is off then he goes on really good terms for me. Couldn't stand the bloke before he signed for us but he really did win me round. Scored some absolute corkers, was magnificent last season [proving a lot of doubters wrong along the way] and Wilder giving him the armband should tell us everything we need to know.

Hope he goes to a decent club, still got a few goals in him I reckon. Rotherham might be a decent shout.

I would thank him, wish him all the best but you need a different mindset if you're going to be an impact sub- which is all he was going to be until the end of the season.

Not surprised if true he is having fitness issues around the way we play.Probably go down a division to lengthen his career ,the fitness levels required the way we play are very high and .niggles don't get the chance to heal.been good for us and wish him well.

I'd get rid of Washington aswell and bring a FWD in. We have a target man in Madine, a poacher in Sharp and a link-up player in McGoldrick. Washington's the pacey type but isn't near good enough imo. Should get rid of him and bring in a better pacey type FWD.

Wasn't there a Walsall rumour a while ago, Leon's local team, makes sense. Pity he isn't worth the same as 12 months ago. He's won a lot of us over and scored some great goals, he just doesn't look as committed when we've seen him this season.

Leon has always been a bit of a enigma. He can be playing poorly in a game then pops up with a bit of magic. Strange how he tends to miss the easy chances but score the much more difficult chance even during the same match.

He’s always had ability but he’s had this reputation of being lazy and having a bad attitude so full credit to him that he’s proven the doubters like me to be wrong.

His signing has been a success, works so hard for the team, great attitude and if he does leave its with great memories and his reputation enhanced.

Wilder prides himself as a players manager( looks after them ) .if Clark or Washington or both are going we obviously would have alternatives lined up.Would have clubs ready to take Clark & Washington now so as not to be in the free for all with loads of players looking for clubs in the summer.Maybe just a rumour but would be sensible if true.

Wouldn't surprise me at all with Freeman. He's always seemed a strange one.

One thing's for sure, if these rumours of outgoings are true, there's no way we're done with signings. I expect us to bring in another 2. Even if it's just a pair of punty types on deadline day.

Find it odd people calling for us to move Washington on instead of Clark, Striker isnt just a blanket position. Madine offers us the same as what Clark does, Washington has the pace that none of our other forwards have

True, and I'm one of those who advocates having some pace up top, as I think it could notch up our goals and points total due to the opportunities we miss out on due to not having that burst to get away from defenders often enough.

That said whilst he put a good shift in at Brentford, my concern with CW has always been his goal return since stepping up a league.
