Today should have and would have been a draw. It wasn’t, due to an error from arguably are best player this season thus far

However, I get the feeling leaving home and away games we are 20% away from being are best.

This isn’t a slasher post by any means, but we do need something extra if we are going up. So fellow blades what is the current concensus?

The facts as I see:

We are one of the best footballing teams in this league
Are midfielders are quality but sometimes lack the killer pass
Are strikers are good but we need a different option
DMC is better in the Duffy role and another striker would save buying two players
Defensively I always feel we will concede
Are philosophy is good but should be more adaptable, 3-5-2/ 5-3-2 needs to be broadened.
Wilder deserves financial backing to try make this a reality
It’s a lot better then league one
Also, Leeds aren’t mugs, they came for a point and got lucky. They’ll be top 6.


I’m loving the way we play at the moment. But.. I love watching Arsenal! The football is great but you know it’s not going to get you over the line!

For me we are the leagues arsenal. Lovelh stuff but there is X amount better teams.

As said before it would be interesting to see thoughts upon reflection of the season so far!

P.S. We are miles better then 3 years since! However for me the only way to develop is to question progress!

After every loss everyone makes various threads saying the same thing: if we had a few more players who were really good, we'd be better than we currently are.

I share your concern!

I suppose what I’m saying is that I believe we’re good enough, as is, to stay in the top 6. But if we could add a bit more quality (and I’m talking about a bit of pace and goal threat) we’d get over the line.

It’s a big if, given the current state of affairs in the Boardroom.

But even if McCabe and The Prince of Tissues hate each other, they must surely realise that it’s better to be arguing over the ownership of a Prem club than a Championship one.

In that regard I hope they both do their bit to allow us to progress in Jan and get that prize.
