Hmmm, I wouldn't have thrown coutts in, especially ahead of mcgoldrick who should be playing in duffys role.

Not sure i'm confident at all now.

Today’s bench for Forest finally concludes the mystery of “what happened to Luke Steele after his trial with us?”

Hope Cranie is better than Stearman, as he was poor last week and could not see him pushing forward. We now need Norwood, Coutts and Fleck to work. Will be interesting to see how the set up. Norwood has to play the deeper role?

McG is on 4 bookings. Needs resting for Friday.

Fleck owes us a performance from last season at Forest so hopefully he steps up to the Duffy roaming menace roll.

It's quite a bold selection. Could have played Egan at rcb and stears at CB but it would have been more defensive. Cranie has played a lot of games at RB so he will get forward. Also with the midfield 3 it should protect the defence a bit more. Very attack minded bench as well. 1-2 blades. Mcg to come on and get the winner, take his top off and get booked then realise oh shit!

I like that selection. Coutts & Norwood should dominate that midfield allowing Fleck to maraude forward with the full backs. Slight change with our style I reckon today. Can't see the centre halves joining the attacks much today.

From what I’ve seen so far when Coutts and Norwood have been on the pitch together we haven’t dominated any more than we usually do with just one of them. What has happened is that they’ve got in each other’s way, with both of them trying to play the same role. I’m hoping that Fleck plays slightly further forward, giving Norwood and Coutts more space and providing a link to the front two.

I’d add that when we’ve done that there’s a big gap between midfield and attack that generally results in the front two being isolated. It’ll be important for today’s midfield to ensure that doesn’t happen.

Interesting to see if Coutts and Norwood work together or just get in each others way, no clue about cranie since I've not seen him play.

Also; Cooooooooooooouuuuuuuuuuuutts

Yeah, that’s what I was getting at when I said I hope Fleck plays further forward

Don't see what other team we could pick to be honest. Surprised by the negativity.

Cranie is in his correct position, McG is one yellow away from a suspension, and Duff is injured.

Egan straight back in and Couttsy in the middle which is a decent option.

Suppose we could have stuck Woodburn in for Duffy but I don't think many would have been happy with that given what's written about him on here.

Egan Stearman JOC wasn't a fantastic back 3 at the start of the season so I wouldn't have gone back to that either.

Do we get more points if we win on Friday then we do if we win today?

Daft team selection, play the best team available to win the game. We know we lack creativity when we play a flat midfield 3 and 0 shots on target in the first half shows exactly that.

We get far more than 3 points for slamming the filth.

How do you know that Wilder doesn’t think this is the best team for this particular game?
