How do we all know he's got bags of potential? Players can be young and still not very good. We all seem adamant that he is destined for greatness, despite the fact that the management see him play every day and are willing to sell.

Probably the best reason is the fact that he couldn't break into the side in the first place, then when he did eventually get in, did absolutely nothing. He didn't get much of an opportunity here, but didn't take his chance when he did.

Genuinely not bothered that he's gone. Bit like Lee Evans, but less involved in the first team.

Millwall have announced the signing of Ryan Leonard from Sheffield United loan until January. The move will become a permanent club-record deal in January.

When we sell a player, i wish Roygbiv would do a view from s24su on that player and collect a range of peoples thoughts and what was said at the time.

Im sure there was a alot of people moaning when we signed him, chased him too long, not good enough, master of no position etc and now hes gone, hes 50x the player he ever was.

I imagine hes probably not settled all that well, cant break into our first team, realised hes not gonna get game time here so decided to move on when millwall decide to break their transfer record for him.

If we have flogged him for £1.5m then I can see the logic in it.

I was hoping that he was going to be the long term replacement for Basham but if he's not shaping up, and remember CW sees him every day, then it's good business to let him go. Especially if rumours are right that he couldn't settle up north.

He was a very versatile player. Central midfield, centre half, wong back, he was equally inept everywhere. Treated the ball like it was set on fire. Maybe it was because he couldn't settle or something else but he'll be absolutely no loss.

That being said it shouldn't put us off League One players altogether, there's some rough diamonds still kicking about down there.

You could argue that it wasn't a bad transfer window if we've made a profit on both Leonard and Evans.

In an ideal world, we would have bought 4 players that all immediately improve the team, so it clearly wasn't a good window but we've had plenty worse.

Some very poor transfer business done in January and this latest departure reinforces that fact.

Norwood is an obvious improvement but very disappointing outside of this signing.

We have failed to strengthen in some of the areas that have been lacking badly for quite some time.

Chris is going to have to perform miracles again.

I think Leonard has some decent potential but you have to remember we haven't put him up for sale or forced him to go. He presumably thought it was a good move and also he's still behind Coutts (when fit), Norwood and Fleck and even Bash went into centre mid recently and Wilder went with Stearman to fill in in defence. Also if he was to be Basham's successor Leonard may still have to wait another year or two as Basham is still a very good player as proved just last week. :Leonard is also a tad small for one of the centre three spots in my view.

Good luck to him, and hope he does well even though I don't like millwall!
