So that leaves O'Connell, Basham, Freeman, Clarke or Fleck. None of which fit with your other 'clues'.

It's probably Lavery. Two separate people told me he'd been saying the exact same stuff in the summer.

I took it with a pinch of salt assuming it was a disgruntled player told he was surplus to requirements.

Brilliant if true. CW has always said that he would love to have to make tough decisions rather than the team sheet being a "given". If some players are disgruntled and are motivated to try harder to get in the team then Chris is doing a great job. I am confident the sulkers and demotivators will be found out and moved on.

I'm with you on this mate . Whilst I simply won't tolerate the wind up merchants on here ( yep, you know who you are ) theres more than a grain of truth in this mans utterances .

And whilst the majority on here may have a ruddy good chortle amongst themselves I know for a fact that a disgruntled player coated CW's underpants with fiery jack before the QPR away game . The players now have a nick name for him ..... balls of fire . Not laughing now are you

Mmmmmmm CHL WUM extraordinaire in shock claim. Whatever next.:p

Well given that, and you saying "started" against Bolton implies possibly a player who was substituted, so that would mean Leon then.
Leon is pissed off with us playing players out of form?
Mate, it's bollocks, and if it's not it'll be a squad player who will be pissing and moaning at not playing.

It's either O'Connoll or Freeman for me.

Probably more likely JOC given his mardy shennanigans at the end of the Norwich game.

Remember when a player last season had reputedly said that Stearman was useless and we should never have signed him - I heard that was JOC too.

Doesn't matter though. Even if the OP isn't made up I'd suggest the players view is bullshit given the performances against Norwich and Bolton.

They started Saturday?
We were awesome Saturday!? Carry on being mardy if it makes us play like that.

Still think its bollocks

As Wilder said "I'm not here to be their best mates, I've got my own pals".

Having your staff moan about you is part of being a boss, half of it is because they don't know all the facts anyway. It comes with the territory.

It won't be Henderson, Egan or Norwood, they only just joined. It won't be Billy, too much of a fellow Blade I'd think and it can't be Leon or Stevens as they are the ones getting the backing.

Can't see it being Basham, not the type. Fleck I think highly unlikely unless he was close mates with Lundstram or Evans.

Freeman has just been put in the team and highly praised.

So it has to be one of the Liverpool contingent. You said not Duffy so it's O'Connell. Understandable. He could have been on more money now. He'll get over it. Maybe he also brought in Bryan to let him know he also has competition.

Either way nothing to worry about. It's Chris' club more than any of them. Managed, played, ball boy, fan. Not even Bill can match all of them.

The Drama.

Scene: A Relaxed social setting, somewhere in the greatest city on Earth

A Mighty Blade: I reckon Leon's struggling, and we could maybe try starting McGoldrick. He's done really well in training.
OP (smelling an opportunity): Really?
AMB: Yeah. And my mate thinks it might be worth a go too.
OP: (aside) Methinks I know where this might play
Off to a forum to make my day
Of selfishness, greed, and betrayal this reeketh
But give me give me give me the attention I seeketh

On the bench?

If it's someone else and what Preston says is true, then that's possibly two separate players spouting the exact same stuff!

Smells of Complete Cack to me. Will keep an eye open on Satdi to see if anything is amiss.

UTMB

It's a bit pathetic how anything remotely like this immediately receives pig accusations. As if it's too extreme to possibly believe.

In reality there'll be players at every club who don't like the manager, no matter how well things could be going.

"He's lost the dressing room" is usually footballer speak for "I personally don't like the manager".

If it's true than I'd guess it'll be O'Connell or Duffy.

I'm inclined to agree that it's bollocks, was just enjoying trying to draw the OP for another cluedo ;)

If its true then its disappointing and I can accept individual players can be miffed at times. But to suggest Wilder has lost the dressing room? Well the recent performances don't look that way as others have said. You can tell when a manager has lost the dressing room or potentially the dressing room and I don't see signs of that. I appreciate Preston that you wanted to share it it with us but to be honest this sort of thing, true or not, shouldn't be shared.

If I told a colleague that I was pissed off with my Boss I wouldn't expect him to talk about it with others knowing it could get back, and I would imagine that somebody will have read this forum that knows Wilder (such as Wilders mate Wit is it?) or one of the club staff that knows Wilder obviously. If its true then maybe its good Wilder knows but the fans shouldn't as it just causes panic. That's my thoughts.

I suggested O'Connell in post 28.

To date there has been no denial like there was for Duffy.

dah dah dah DAAAAAR!

Even if it is true, you've got to take into account that when people are describing a situation, they make it sound worse than it actually is. Therefore comments like 'lost the dressing room' are quite clearly wide of the mark and someone's emotions getting the better of them.

My money would be on JOC too, for what it's worth.

I'm porcine and I've heard the players don't like him.

It's old hat.

But I doubt Man Utd's players liked Fergie, but it didn't stop the team being successful.

"Och wee mahn, yew're fannashed!"

I'd rather have a manager who's feared than liked.
