I'll concede that he's not a world beater, but any half decent, proven Championship striker, has been shown to be well beyond our pay structure.
That means either taking a chance on a lower league striker or a less fancied one from the Championship. Blackman is 28, he's big and fast, he scored 11 goals in 28 appearances for us, but was shit apparently.
Up front we are desperately short of pace and athleticism. It would be up to Wilder to get the best out of Nick Blackman. You say he's crap, but out of him and Clarke, I know who I'd rather be marking on Saturday afternoon.

His record isn’t the best but that’s only because he has never been the main striker at any of his teams.
But the same goes for any player we sign Wilson last year looked decent but didn’t play same goes for Donaldson etc . You can’t slag players off if they don’t have the game time
