A swift punch to the kidneys usually sorts the kids out.

Kids are a lot better off than in my day. It was a few sweets and a look at some puppies in the boot even if you were good.

Cerberus Blade it wasn't you that was sat in front of me was it?
No mate. I paid more money than that to sit in the South Stand, hoping I’d get away from folks who think it’s ok to shout out foul language regardless of who may be offended by it. It didn’t work though.

You know what? If I hit my thumb with a hammer I might say something like that under my breath. What I don’t do is stand up and bellow it out in public. Why? Because I think it’s low class, low life, riff-raff behaviour.

We won’t agree on this of course. Which it’s why it’s best you go back and sit amongst folk who think this is perfectly ok. Which is the majority I’ve no doubt.

It’s theC1s, the lower middle class, who most strongly preserve the norms of good language. C1’s are the Hyacinth Buckets of the British class system and they have a reputation of being the class most concerned with social appearances. The C1s always come in last of all the social classes in all forms of he word, and the only form that makes any kind of showing at all from the C1s is “fucking” – though whether as an expletive or the literal use, the record doesn’t show!

I sit in the south stand (TC stand) and last season an older woman in front of me turned round to complain that me and my mate were just using swearing in normal conversation !! I also pointed out that if she didnt like working mans language that she should move to the family stand and in any case had she not heard the Kop singing all season using said earthy language ?
We were just having a normal PRIVATE conversation and werent even shouting at anyone at all and it wasnt even football related !!
I despair at people like that who try to pretend that swearing isnt normal language everywhere such as the workplace etc!
I get told off for swearing at work, I’ve got no hope

We went in the Westfield Stand too for the first time, coming from the Kop...thoroughly enjoyed it with a great view and pleasing company....some kids in and around the area we were in and still some swearing but not as much as on the Kop :D
Them steps are steep though

Regular on the kop since 1965, its my second home, tried moving once but the its in your blood, couldn't wait to return, even when we're losing the crack is still good

Stick the other 3 sides of the ground up your harris for me, posh gets ;)

Resumed for my 2nd season in the Lane Upper ,.. great view , shit home atmosphere but can explete my heart out ... and I blinking did after that 2nd half ... bloody , sodding , wee wee poor 2nd half performance ... faffing shower of excrement & the referee wasn’t fit to wipe my posterior!!!!

Heard someone shouting “fix the fucking fax machine Mcabe” on way out on Saturday! Side splitting comedy.

Any words listed in the English Dictionary should be allowed to be spoken ?? That's my fucking opinion anyway ............

Me and my mate were looking round the ground on Saturday wondering whether to move from the south stand when we start bringing my sons.

Liked the idea of BL upper but thought it might be too high and as westfield looks lower we thought that could be a good choice, maybe not!

Teach em some life skills ont kop!

I was sat on the same row Woody. You apologised to me and my 2 lads in case you'd offended us with the swearing as you left at half time. Not an issue for us.
2nd year with a season ticket up there and it's generally spot on. Hopefully just a one off!

Has to be the best view in the ground right?

Have you tried expressing yourself in a way that doesn’t include using vile language? Can you? Or is it beyond you? That should be the basis on your decision as to whether to move back to the Kop. Children or no children in the vicinity.

Language skills today have generally gone down the shitter.
I pin the blame firmly on Derek and Clive.

Thought i would have a change this season so swapped season ticket on Kop to Westfield corner. First game there on Saturday 10 minutes into the match one of the Swansea players rolls around as if he's been shot so i remark "Get up ya cheating Bastard". Well the bloke in front goes ballistic calling me vile and saying there's children present (there were no kids anywhere near me). I remarked that the family stand was where to take kids if you didn't want to hear any language, told him he was a snowflake and to grow a pair. Everyone around me were supportive and told him to do one. Great view but don't think i'm gonna last long on there if there's more delicate wall flowers like him that frequent the Westfield Corner, might have to go back to slumming it with the Great unwashed on the kop.

Why I only lasted a season in the Westfield Corner. Back in the South Stand G&H. 100% better. With no Moaning Blades.

I'm the other way, sat twice in south stand last year got asked to sit down both times before kickoff even when we were singing GCB.
Been in the Westfield 2 years . There's a bit of swearing as to be expected. But I find that if you ignore it. It really doesn't bother me .
