Thought i would have a change this season so swapped season ticket on Kop to Westfield corner. First game there on Saturday 10 minutes into the match one of the Swansea players rolls around as if he's been shot so i remark "Get up ya cheating Bastard". Well the bloke in front goes ballistic calling me vile and saying there's children present (there were no kids anywhere near me). I remarked that the family stand was where to take kids if you didn't want to hear any language, told him he was a snowflake and to grow a pair. Everyone around me were supportive and told him to do one. Great view but don't think i'm gonna last long on there if there's more delicate wall flowers like him that frequent the Westfield Corner, might have to go back to slumming it with the Great unwashed on the kop.

I throw out plenty of obscenities whenever I've satup there, and I've never been pulled up on it.

Isn't that a family bit too? I remember trying to get a last minute ticket last season for Sunderland (I think it was) and couldn't get an adult ticket there without a child.

Kinell, I thought almost 30 quid was bad enough for a seat in there without having to sacrifice one of your kids as well

I sit in the south stand (TC stand) and last season an older woman in front of me turned round to complain that me and my mate were just using swearing in normal conversation !! I also pointed out that if she didnt like working mans language that she should move to the family stand and in any case had she not heard the Kop singing all season using said earthy language ?
We were just having a normal PRIVATE conversation and werent even shouting at anyone at all and it wasnt even football related !!
I despair at people like that who try to pretend that swearing isnt normal language everywhere such as the workplace etc!

I'm in the family stand and I don't think the language is any different to any other part of the ground to be honest. Went in the South Stand once last season dressed as an older woman and the swearing from a guy, must have been 65 or so behind me was as bad as any 7 year old on the John St.

I was sat on my settee watching the closing stages of the game and I wasn't even swearing, when this woman appeared (whom I later found out was Mrs Bon II) and started having a go at me for the match still being on and saying that it was a waste of a lovely evening.

I couldn't disagree with her. She was spot on.

Not normally like that up there Woody - think you must have been unlucky. The language around us is as blue as anywhere in the ground - and it was all last season too.

I sit in there and I've never had any issues, best view of the pitch, easy to get served at half time, and sheltered from 90% of the weather.
You've made the right choice.

Into my second year as a season ticket holder in the Westfield. Best view in the ground IMO...you do get the odd day tripper but most are OK around us.... majority of the profanities come from my 15 year old son... proper hooligan in the making.. announced yesterday he isn't wearing his colours from the next home game.... going full on Lyle and Scott...or Fred Perry.... quick clip round the ear swiftly despatched!

Ive sat up there a few times and have heard stewards pull up people on swearing etc. Even though it must be one of the best views in the ground up there i prefer being with my fellow scrubbers in kop

I've had some dirty looks ont Kop over the years , but that's usually been for shouting obscenities at Monty or Bash.

Agree mate 2nd season up there this season. Took my 4 yr old she's no going to everyone so there was no way I was sitting in the family stand when she doesn't go.

The language isn't usually bad and if it is it's usually from my own mouth.

Got to agree with the view its superb. I was surprised how many spare seat there was free at the bottom, considering I had a nightmare getting 4 seats together.

If you don't like people telling you off, why don't you move to the Kop?

Imagine being that weird, busy and self-righteous to tell a stranger off at the football though? People who do are definitely following the wrong sport.

Have you tried expressing yourself in a way that doesn’t include using vile language? Can you? Or is it beyond you? That should be the basis on your decision as to whether to move back to the Kop. Children or no children in the vicinity.

Children hear the same language on tv or school protecting them from language at a football match is a waste of time.
Is bastard even considered swearing anymore.Wrap the kids up in a bubble that might work.

Atleast he didn't strip off n go all helicopter when we scored!

Cerberus Blade it wasn't you that was sat in front of me was it?

A swift punch to the kidneys usually sorts the kids out.
