Outgoing? Billy Sharp

We're Sheffield United FC not Billy Sharp FC .

If we get a better player, great.

Why some constantly want to turn it into love Billy hate Billy God only knows.

To quote myself, I said "it would be irresponsible" which is hypothetical and not in the present so it's you who was vexed, not me.

By the way I prefer Rooibos. Try it sometime, there's no caffeine in it and it makes you less irritable.

Never tried it due to a recommendation to avoid it.

But my preferred late night cuppa is peppermint.....not an avid tea drinker as coffee is my tipple of choice (not instant I must add)

I don't suffer from irritability, not my opinion either, but you appear to have constructed your own image of myself, so probably best to avoid a circular discussion...if that's ok with you?

It would be OK with me if I knew what the fucking hell you was on about.

If I attempted to explain I fear we may be here for several pages....and life's far too short to engage in something so unimportant, hope that's fine with you.

It would be a lot easier if you got off your high horse and admitted you misunderstood my original post. We wouldn't have even got this far.

Jeez....you inferred that Wilder might not be focused, so I replied, if you wish to go round in ever decreasing circles be my guest.

Trying phrasing your comments a bit clearer, that'll help a lot.

Deary me. I inferred nothing of the sort. I replied to Birdwell Blade's post where he suggested we didn't need any new strikers as Billy and Leon were adequate. I agreed with that but suggested that we should start phasing in new blood due to Billy & Leon's age and that it would be irresponsible to do nothing instead. As far as I and 25,000 Unitedites are aware, Wilder is in the process of recruiting a new striker(s), it's not exactly a secret. You then suddenly had an onset of PMT and here we are now.

Your limited ability to respond adequately more than suggests that name-calling is your last line of defence.

I'll leave you to believe whatever you wish, it's not that important in the scheme of things.

You're beginning to sound like your co-joined twin. I'm surprised you're not making use of his infantile soundbites. I've got one for you:

We’re fucked for ten years anyway, Sharp or not. We’re doomed without Darling David. There is no solution; no remedy; no hope.

Close the forum until the 2028 season.

My mates a Bradford fan and he said they were in for Sharp... I said we ‘won’t subsidise his wages and he’s on ££££’s!’
He said: ‘we will have ££££’s because we have rejected £700k and are holding out for £1m for wyke’..... Is this real life?!

My opinion... he won’t leave, literally said he wants to retire here, we have 2 first team strikers (admittedly we want a big money signing in that position) but he knows he won’t get 100% game time, but is still our captain and a club legend, so why would he leave?

Sharp to Bradford with Charlie Wyke coming this way was whispered tonight

Tonight doesn't bode well for Sharp. To only get about 12 minutes in a prestigious friendly after all he's done to get us to this level must be disappointing for him. McGoldrick starting ahead of him could suggest he's already 3rd choice. If we sign another striker and he's 4th choice, will he really stick around?

He could be a big factor in Wilder's thinking over the next week and a half.

If Billy's ultimately going to want to leave, Wilder has to know about it now so he has a full opportunity to bring in who he wants. Because some of the potential targets might only be available on permanent deals.

Because he's soon going to be our 4th choice striker? He loves the club but he also loves playing football.

I would keep Billy. Give him one more season and go from there.

I would like to see Billy and McGoldrick start at Donny. Leon did next to nothing tonight which was a tad confusing.

Starting 11at Donny

Egan
JOC

Freeman

*thought Bash was mom tonight. Always 150% effort

That’s 12 more minutes than he got against Wednesday at home while Wilson and Donaldson featured. I suspect if he was the sort that was prescious about this sort of thing he’d have therefore left already. As it is, the situation has been clear throughout the summer that Wilder’s wanted two strikers to come in. Sharp has been clear that he’s happy to continue at this level with the increased competition. Wilder’s made it clear that anyone that doesn’t accept competition won’t be kept. This does not need revisiting every time Sharp doesn’t get game time, otherwise it’s going to be a long old season...
