I agree it is ridiculous, but forwards (and particularly decent ones) cost more money as they are in demand.

People in the game constantly bang on about the hardest thing in football (after Billy Whitehurst obviously) is having the ability the put the ball in the net. You always pay a premium for a decent striker and it's the going rate now.

Sometimes you just have to put your hand in your pocket and pay for what you want.
